Is It True? (A Shadow the Hedgehog Love Story)

Chapter 1

I was taking an evening stroll well past sunset. It has been a few weeks since I was transformed into a black and lavender hedgehog and arrived here in Mobius. This all happened when I found a purple Chaos Emerald in my backyard. I had wanted this to happen forever since I watched Sonic X for a few months now (it’s forever to me so yea). My family, I could care less. They never understood my obsessions or my dreams to be with the ones I discovered and/or loved truly. They made fun of me and called my obsessions names. I could not take this any longer. On the night that I was going to run away, the Chaos Emerald found me. I was so excited that I picked it up without hesitating knowing that it was the real thing. Finally, finally! I can finally be with Sonic and his friends and do what I dreamed to do forever!! I had thought in my head. But don’t get me wrong, I LOVE it here; even though I have not met Sonic or his friends in person. I am still waiting and hoping that I can see them, especially Shadow. I have had a huge crush on Shadow for so long. That black and red hedgehog has starred in many of my dreams for the past few months. I know everything there is to know about Shadow, Sonic, and their pals. They will be amazed at my knowledge and beg for me to join them. I plan on telling Shadow all about his lost past and help him through his future. And now here I am, wandering aimlessly into the unknown.

“Why couldn’t this happen sooner?” I said out loud, “It’s so pretty here,” I was in awe as I saw all of the magnificent scenery Mobius had to offer. While I was not looking where I was going, I bumped into someone and fell to the ground, “Oh, I’m so sorry I ran into you! I can be so distracted sometimes,” I apologized.

“Oh, that’s ok, I wasn’t looking either,” the male voice said. As I looked up, I was surprised; I found the famous Sonic the Hedgehog sitting in front of me. I couldn’t control myself, but I managed to keep my mouth shut and smile widely instead of scaring

him off, “I’ve never seen you here before. Well, granted I always never look where I’m running by. But still, what’s your name?” Sonic asked me.

As I was about to answer, a flash of lightening followed by a clap of thunder was seen and heard. It had started to rain on my perfect night. What a stroke of luck to find the fastest thing on the planet to help me out. I gazed up at the rain, astonished.

“Well that’s not good. How about you hop on my back and I’ll bring you to my house. I have lots of friends there who would love to meet you. Then you could tell us your name,” Sonic offered. I decided to go with it, knowing very well that I could use Chaos Control to get there faster. I hopped on his back as told and we sped off into the storm. About two seconds later, we arrived at Sonic’s enchanted yellow mansion. It was the color of him when he was in Super Sonic form. Sonic let me down and opened the door. There inside, a pink hedgehog, who I knew was named Amy Rose greeted Sonic very……lovingly I suppose you could put it. Amy ran over to Sonic with open arms.

“Oh, Sonic! I thought you would never come back from that dreary storm!” Amy hugged Sonic tight.

“Amy! Choking, not breathing,” Sonic pleaded for her to let go. She let go as soon as she saw me.

“Sonic, is that your girlfriend?!” Amy was in horror. I tried as hard as I could to not laugh. Sonic stepped in to save me from the odd question.

“No, Amy she’s not my girlfriend. She bumped into me when I was taking a stroll,” Sonic cleared the confusion.

“Well good, so I’m all yours. I’m sure everyone would love to meet you,” Amy smiled towards me and I smiled back, “Hey everyone! Get down here now!!” Amy yelled so her voice could be heard around the house. Down the stairs came Knuckles the echidna, Cream the rabbit, Cheese the Chao, and Tails the twin tailed fox. I knew them all from watching Sonic X (Seriously, you got to love that show it changes you). They all gathered in the living room to see why Amy called them down so late. This is the moment when I decided to step in. Everyone stared at me. Sonic came behind me and Amy after him.

“Hey guys, this is our new friend who will be staying with us. She tells me that she will be a big help to us. Everyone meet….” Sonic’s voice trailed off, signaling me to tell them my name. I had forgot that I didn’t tell him my name.

“Hello everyone, my name is Dabria. Don’t bother telling me your names because I already know. I come from the planet Earth, where I have learned all about you guys,” I ended with a smile, telling them that everything was okay.

“Well if you think you know everything, humor me. Tell us all of our names,” Knuckles was confident that I could not name them all.

I smiled at him, “Well you’re Knuckles, the twin tailed fox is named Miles Prower, but everyone calls him Tails for the obvious reasons, the rabbit is named Cream, the Chao is named Cheese, and Amy and Sonic are behind me.”

Knuckles couldn’t say a thing, until he got another idea, “Well what’s my job occupation?”

“Oh that’s easy, you guard the Master Emerald that’s in a shrine on Angel Island,” I said to him back. Knuckles just growled at me in disbelief.

“Ok Knuckles, that’s quite enough. Everyone, you can go back to bed and tomorrow we will test Dabria on what she knows and of her powers,” Sonic said and with that everyone exited the room.

“Come on, Dabria, let me show you to your room,” Sonic said with a smile. Sonic opened a door to my left. Inside, the walls were painted black with purple splatter paint. This was like my dream room. Also, there were the regular stuff; a bed, closet, and a dresser. I was still in awe of the color.

“This is perfect!” I told Sonic. He smiled at my reaction.

“Yea, this was supposed to be for Blaze, but as you can see, she’s not here,” Sonic explained.

“Probably with Silver, am I right?” I was so sure of myself. Sonic nodded.

“Well, I guess I’ll see you in the morning. Sleep well, Dabria,” with that, Sonic left me to sleep in my new room. Once my head hit the pillow, I thought something strange.

If Sonic and his friends are here, Shadow must be on his way to ‘greet’ me. I thought to myself. I was excited to meet my secret crush, but a little scared of what he would do to me. I shivered at the thought of what he might do. A flash of his gun went through my head. I was frightened of Shadow now, as I should be. Calm down, I had this planned out. I would sit him down and tell him I knew about his past. Then he would beg me to tell him.

And I would. This helped me sleep; or it was the Chaos Emerald that I still held.
