Truth or Dare -- First Kiss

Chapter 10

“Dabria, breakfast is-- I’m sorry, was I interrupting something?” Amy asked as she opened the door to my room.
“No, nothing,” I got off of Shadow and followed Amy out the door, with Shadow tagging behind.
“So, tell me about your date last night,” Amy begged.
I told her every detail of my second date with Shadow. I looked back at him and saw him blush. Soon we reached the kitchen and I sat down in one of the chairs. Almost immediately, Sonic, Knuckles, and Shadow sat around me. I felt loved and uncomfortable at the same time. Shadow growled at Knuckles and Sonic whenever they got close to me. I ate my breakfast in silence for fear I would say something wrong. I also didn’t want to talk about last night, afraid that there would be a full-out brawl over me.
Sonic finally took his eyes off of me and looked over at Amy and said, “Your cooking is wonderful, Amy.”Save & Publish
“Oh, SONIC!” Amy gave Sonic an airtight hug. Sonic struggled in Amy’s grasp and I laughed quietly. When everyone was done with breakfast, Amy stood on a chair and began to list today’s activities; swimming, training, beating the crap out of Eggman, etc, etc.
“And for now, we will play Truth or Dare!!” Amy announced. Everyone was excited except Shadow and I. We both groaned with hatred. I hate that dreaded game. Unfortunately, Amy pulled us both into the circle. Amy called Rouge the bat, Silver the hedgehog and Blaze the cat. Soon, Rouge came knocking on the door. All of a sudden, Silver and Blaze appeared from a portal connecting the present and the future. Silver was also one of my favorite characters on the video games. I held myself back from giving him a hug, knowing I would get Shadow angry.
Shadow chuckled next to me, “Go ahead, I don’t mind,” I was confused for a second and then understood. I ran over to Silver and gave him a hug. I missed seeing him on TV everyday.
He was quite surprised, “Well, that’s the nicest hello I’ve ever gotten,” Silver looked down at me, “and what’s your name?”
“Dabria, Dabria the hedgehog, the ultimate life form,” I heard Shadow growl in the distance.
“I heard that! I’m the ultimate life form!” He defended himself. I chuckled and let go of Silver. Blaze, Silver and I walked back to the circle and sat down. Silver was staring at me intently.
“Okay! I’ll start! Shadow, truth or dare?” Amy said.
“Truth,” he said flatly with his arm securely around me.
“Who do you love?”
“This girl right here,” Shadow said tightening his grip around me, “Faker, truth or dare?”
Sonic growled, “Dare, I’ll take anything you throw at me,” he said with confidence.
Shadow smiled evilly, “I dare you to…jump in the pool…on the deep end,” I couldn’t help but smile evilly with him. Sonic stared at Shadow with eyes like this O_O. He nervously hesitated, but gave up trying to convince Shadow to not let him do it. We all walked to the pool. Sonic got on the diving board and nervously looked at all of us. Shadow was still smiling evilly and made a gesture for him to jump. He jumped and landed in the water with a huge splash. He quickly paddled to the side of the pool and hopped out of the pool. Everyone laughed at him because he looked like a wet cat.
I went over to him and put a towel around him, “Don’t worry, I’m not laughing at you,” I said caringly.
Sonic smirked and gave me a kiss on my cheek, “You’re an angel,” he said and I blushed. Shadow came over and dragged me away from Sonic. I smirked back at Sonic. We arrived back in the living room and we all sat in a circle again.
“Knuckles, truth or dare?” Sonic asked as he dried off.
“Truth,” Knuckles said.
“Well, who do you love?” Sonic asked. Knuckles looked nervously from me to Rouge.
He sighed and said, “Dabria,” looking defeated. Rouge hit him in the back of his head.
Knuckles rubbed his head and asked, “Sonic, back to you. Truth or dare?”
“Truth,” he said afraid Knuckles would make him go in the pool again.
“Who do you love?” Knuckles repeated Sonic’s question. Sonic pointed at me. Shadow hit him hard.
“Silver, truth or dare?” Sonic asked, rubbing his arm.
“Wha-what? Uh, dare,” Silver taking his eyes off of me.
“I dare you to answer this Math question; what is the answer to the equation x over twelve equals 52 over x plus five, when x equals five million?” Sonic smiled evilly. Silver looked deep in thought for a long time, “Well?” Sonic asked impatient.
“Ugh! It’s too frustrating!” Silver yelled with a growl. Blaze took some bubble wrap out and handed it to Silver.
Silver’s eyes were like this; o.O like he was high, “Bubble wrrrraaaaaaapppppppp!”
“That should keep him occupied for a while. I’ll take his turn for him,” Blaze turned to Amy, “Amy, truth or dare?”
“Dare!” Amy answered excitedly.
“I dare you to…hit Sonic in the head with your Piko Piko hammer,” Blaze told her with a smirk.
Amy was in shock, “B-but that would hurt!”
“Either that or kiss Shadow in front of us, your choice,” Blaze was still smirking.
Amy looked over at me as I snuggled under Shadow’s chin. The fiery feeling came back as I did this. I could never do that to her. Amy’s thoughts rang in my head. I smiled warmly at her. She got up and walked over to Sonic. He prepared for the worst.
“I’m sorry Sonic!” Amy hit Sonic with her hammer. Sonic got knocked out, “That was very depressing. Dabria, truth or dare?”
“Truth, I guess,” I said.
“Who do you really love?” Amy asked me a tough question. With all the boys after me, I couldn’t blame her for picking that question.
“Um…that’s a tough one. But, I have to say that I love Shadow and him only,” I confessed. Shadow kissed my forehead after I said this. I felt so loved, “Rouge, truth or dare?”
“Dare,” Rouge replied.
“Ok, I dare you to let Amy smash one of your favorite jewels with her hammer,” I said with a smile. She hesitated, but gave Amy a purple amethyst she took out of her pocket. She watched as Amy destroyed the jewel. I laughed silently to myself as I saw her expression. Rouge glared at me.
“Shadow, truth or dare?” Rouge turned to Shadow.
“Dare,” he said bravely.
“I dare you to kiss Dabria,” Shadow’s face went from an expression of bravery to a nervous expression, “that won’t be a problem, will it?” Rouge smiled evilly.
“N-n-no I guess not,” Shadow stuttered. He turned towards me and I saw that his face was bright red with embarrassment. I’m a bit nervous, I’m sorry Dabria. Don’t blame me if this is really bad. Shadow’s thoughts rang in my head.
“It’s ok, Shadow,” I whispered to Shadow. I started to stroke his cheek to calm his nerves. He kept staring into my eyes, relaxing every time he blinked. I waited for him to kiss me. I kept stroking his face until his lips crashed onto mine. I tensed up for a second, but then I relaxed. The fiery feeling consumed me just like it did when Shadow hugged me for the first time.
After what seemed like hours, he broke the kiss and let go of my shoulders. I quickly got up and ran into the kitchen without warning. I looked at my reflection in the clean sink. I had turned as red as Knuckles.
I heard Shadow’s footsteps come quickly, “Dabria, are you alright?” he asked worryingly.
I walked over to him and put my arms around his neck, “Yes, I’m ok. I need to tell you why I ran off like that.”
“What? Are you sick?” he asked again
“No, it’s just that, that was my first kiss; in my life,” I confessed.
Shadow smiled, “Well, did you like it?”
“Yes, you made me feel as light as air,” I smiled back.
“Would you like to feel like that again?” Shadow’s face got really close to mine. I knew that he was back to normal.
“Yes, very much,” with that, he kissed me gently this time making me feel twice as good. The fiery feeling consumed me again and I welcomed it. I broke the kiss so I could ask him about that, “Shadow, do you feel that fire-like feeling in you too?”
“I do, I didn’t know if you felt it as intense as I do when I kiss you,” I nodded at his response. I looked at the clock. It was about three o’ clock. I knew Shadow took my hand because the fiery feeling shot through me like a spear. We walked out of the kitchen hand-in-hand.
“It’s about time! Shadow its your turn!” Amy yelled.
“Fine, everyone, truth or dare?” Shadow asked.
“DARE!” everyone said.
“I dare all of you to stop playing this stupid game,” Shadow started to pull me away from the circle. We went into my room and he locked the door and came really close to me. My eyes went wide.
“No, Shadow,” I quickly said.
“Hehe, I guess I can’t trick you the same way I can trick Knuckles,” he smiled, “what do you want to do for the rest of the day?”
I thought for a little while. He could teach me how to use a gun, or train me, or…! I thought about Shadow’s room, “Can we paint the rest of your logo in your room?” I asked him.
“Sure, I’ve been meaning to get that finished,” with that, he left my room to put the tarps down in his room.
