Annabeth sighed, looking at the strip in her hand. She was devastated, terror washing over her.
"Percy" she whispered. Tears slipped from her eyes. She walked over to the sink, setting the test on the counter, She lifted up her shirt, revealing nothing out of the ordinary, except for the tiny bulge forming on the bottom of her stomach. She hurried to try to suck in her stomach, but this wasn't extra fat, it was a living thing. Annabeth Chase was pregnant.
Annabeth walked over to the closet, where she threw on a sweater and leggings. The outfit really wasn't her style, but it helped her out. The tiny child growing inside her was squirming, Annabeth couldn't feel it yet, but she knew it was there.
"Babe! I'm home, let's watch some Tv!" Percy shouted from the other room.
"Just one sec" Annabeth called to him, taking the plastic stick and placing it in her pocket.
Annabeth looked at Percy, deep into his eyes. She grabbed his hand, grasping it tightly. Her lips moved but no sound escaped.
"I have to tell you something" she finally uttered. "I'm pr- proposing that we take the extra room and turn it into a guest bedroom for, Toby" Annabeth stuttered.
"sounds awesome!" Percy laughed.
Toby was a 4 month old boy, Sally and Paul saw him on the corner of a street, in a girl's arms, wearing a shirt saying "donate to May Evans Adoption center" Toby was part of the family ever since. The idea that a guest bedroom for Toby would let her furnish a room for her baby, while keeping her pregnancy a secret.
Annabeth fell asleep in Percy's arms, with his hands wrapped around her stomach, the stomach that contained his baby, that he didn't even know about.
