"Which is cuter? This black halter or this pink crop top?" Lacey held two shirts up in front of Amber's face.

Amber looked at Lacey briefly before she averted her gaze and mumbled, "I don't know. Maybe the the halter."

Lacey exhaled and cocked her head to one side, a serious expression on her face. "Okay Amber, what's up? You've been acting weird since yesterday."

The brunette looked at her best friend with pure sympathy, biting her tongue to keep from spilling the news about Lacey's new boyfriend. "I'm fine." Amber nodded her head.

"Really? Because I don't think you are. Look, if you're not feeling good, we didn't have to come to the mall."

"No," Amber retorted with a half smile. "No, I feel fine."

Again, Lacey gave her friend a serious look which caused the brunette to chuckle. "I'm fine Lacey, honestly."

"You better not be lying," Lacey playfully rolled her eyes. She placed the two tops she had in her hands back on the rack and grabbed all of her shopping bags from the floor.

"I'm not," Amber laughed. She eyed the shirts that Lacey placed on the rack and frowned, "Wait, you're not getting one?"

"Nah," Lacey replied. "I've already got enough for today." She looked down at the six medium sized bags in her hands, then back up to Amber. "Let's just go get something to eat and then get out of here."

Amber too gathered her shopping bags from the floor too and smiled, "I like the sound of that."

The girls spent about ten minutes enjoying two trays full of Burger King, before Lacey spoke.

"So what do you think about Justin?" She asked as she dipped a nugget in a pool of honey mustard sauce. "I mean, I know you only saw him for like, two minutes before you ran off but..."

Amber cleared her throat uncomfortably as she took a sip of her soda. She prayed all day that Justin wouldn't be the topic of conversation and just when she thought her prayers were answered, his name pops up like a jack-in-the-box. "Uh," her voice came out soft and scratchy which made her clear her throat again. She sighed, "Well um, like you said. I...I only saw him for a few seconds. I.. don't know much about him."

"Do you think he's cute?" Lacey asked, a worried look on her face. Amber's opinion always mattered to her. Especially when it came to guys because Amber got all of them, and none of the guys Amber has talked to are ugly. Lacey knew for a fact that Justin wasn't ugly, she just wanted a second opinion. "Like, do you think he's good looking?"

We wouldn't be in this position if he wasn't. Amber thought.

She bit into her burger to keep that from slipping and casually shrugged her shoulders. "He's okay, I guess."

"Just okay?" the blonde frowned. "Not cute? Not ridiculously hot? Not gorgeous? Not handsome as fuck?"

Amber laughed, "Lacey, he's your boyfriend." She slightly cringed upon using that word, but kept a smile anyway. "Why does my opinion matter anyway?"

"Because you're hot."

"Yeah, and so are you." Amber shrugged. "Thanks, by the way."

"Do you think he's too good looking though?" Lacey spoke as she eyed her food, absentmindedly picking the seeds from her burger bun.

"What do you mean?"

Lacey sighed, "I mean do you think he will catch other girls' attention?"
