the next day we were out of school for a professional development day or as I call it 'a dumbass reason why we are out of school but everybody loves it because we don't have to see our bitch ass teachers' once I woke up it was 9:30 I went downstairs and I saw my dad sitting there

"can you make something to eat Damn" he said irritated I started cooking then I asked him if I can stay over ny'lah's house the rest of the week he said watever which was his definition to I don't give a fuck what you do .....once I got done with the food I sat it in front of him then I poured him some orange juice once I sat it in front of him I moved my hand back to fast knocking the juice into his lap

"ugh you stupid little bitch you can do anything right you dummie"

he said punching me in my stomach I bent down that's when he pulled my hair and started to slap me hard once I fell to the ground he got on top on me punching me once he was done I used all my strength and left to go to my room I went into the bathroom and saw the purple bruise forming on my cheek that's when I looked at the drawer I told ny'lah I wouldn't but I have to I grab be the razor and started slashing every inch of my arms both of them I wiped up all the blood on me and packed my bag and I left out the house and ran to ny'lah's house I got there and quickly rung the bell ny'lah answered the door she looked like she had just been woke up that's when she saw me

"Omg k'lynn what happened come in " she said opening the door a liitle more letting me come in and then she started touching my bruises

"I'm sorry " i said looking at her she looked confused

"for what" I slipped my shirt off until I was just in my tank top and I let her see the cuts on my that I just made

"oh god K'lynn " she said giving me a hug I started to cry hugging her back she got done hugging me and we walked to her room I sat on her bed just thinking then I finally spoke

"ny'lah what do you do when you don't know what to do" I said

"I Google search my problem duh" she said laughing then she came and sat next to me

"but seriously I do what I feel is right " once she said that I knew what I had to do I grapped my phone and started to text Princeton

Me:'Can u meet me at ny'lah's house we need to talk '

Princeton: where does she live'

Me:5857 W. harbor street"

Princeton: I'll be there in 25 mins I'm gone bring Roc widd me '

Me: Kay

"Ny'lah roc and Princeton are gonna be here in 15 mins" she said OK I put my hair up into a ponytail and put on a new tank top and I put on some basketball shorts and a jacket I just starred at myself in the mirror next thing I know I heard the doorbell ring I had been looking at myself for I while but then I ran downstairs and opened the door roc said 'hey' and walked past looking for ny'lah I said 'hey' to Princeton but he didn't reply I deserved that I treated him so bad when all he wanted to do was help....I grabbed his arm an took him into the library room and I closed the door he sat down as I started to speak

"Princeton look I understand if you never want to talk to me again but just listen... I'm sorry I was so mean to you and that I treated you so bad but I'm just not used to people caring about me and I just want to say that if you never forgive me just know that I am sorry" I started crying then unexpectedly I felt two arms wrap around me he was hugging me he looked at me in my eye and said

"K'lynn I know that the only reason why you acted liked you did because you were scared but you have to know that I just want to be here for you but that's only if you let me" he said hugging me again then he started to rub my arms I pulled back immediately and took a few steps back

"what's wrong" he said I took in a deep breath and took off my jacket letting it fall to the floor Princeton gasped and stepped closer

"Oh my fucking god K'lynn what happened"he screamed he was about to touch my shoulder but out of instinct I flinched back and then Princeton froze

"K'lynn really? I would never ever lay a finger on you , you don't have to be afraid just trust me please" he said holding my face in his hand as he leaned in and kissed me....it wasn't a rushed kiss it was soft and gentle and everything I could ask for in a kiss he pulled away and held out his hand I hesitated but I took it as he led me out to the living room we sat down and turned on the TV as 'the vow' popped on the screen...we sat there and watched the movie I couldn't believe the reality of it for once somebody wanted me and all the baggage that comes with me I sat there next to him I may never understand why Princeton wants me but I'm kinda happy that he does.
