Everlost with a spin

Chapter 5

Sade and Reagan seemed to be walking aimlessly but they had an idea of where they were heading. Reagan sighed as another car listening to the same song passed through her.

"It seems like all these stupid cars are listening to the same song on the radio its driving me crazy." Reagan says annoyed.

"Yeah me too but I like the song playing over and over it is my favorite nightcore." Sade says smiling her canines reminding Reagan of a dog.

"What is wrong with you United Kids of the World nightcore this horrible after five minutes!" Reagan shouts ready to destroy every car passing through her.

Sade looks at Reagan confused, "Umm that's not what I'm hearing. I'm hearing the nightcored version of September." She says wondering what Reagan's talking about.

"Well I guess there playing those two song pretty often even though I haven't heard that song yet." Reagan mumbles wondering who plays those songs in there car. She pushes that thought out of her head when she sees Sade stop in her tracks.

"If anyone's out there come out!" Sade shouts looking around the area. She steps forward grabbing Reagan's arm and pulling her along.

Reagan looks around anticipating the worst or at least something that'll be worthy enough to make Sade jump which that isn't that difficult when she really thinks about it. She listens closely but the same song goes through her head making her unable to focus. "Sade what did you hear?" She asks Sade ready to slap her again.

"I heard people, I mean Afterlights you never know what could happen, just being cautious." Sade says letting go of my arm her body tense and rigid waiting for something to pop out and attack.

A small crowd of four kids come out one who seems to be the leader of the group chewing with his mouth open on a piece of gum and a baseball bat resting on his left shoulder. Sade and Reagan looked around the group holding in there disgust. One person in his crew had sweat pouring off of him like a fountain and the other two who seemed to be the weirdest people in the group had tails swishing behind them and cat ears on top of there head as if they were slowly turning into cats. All of the crew had some kind of potential weapon.

"So whats' you doin' in my part of Everlost?" The kid with the bat asked lifting the brim of his hat his grey eyes piercing Sade's masked ones.

"Trying to figure out this place and find the Queen of Snots." Reagan says having difficulty breaking her gaze away from the two cat like Afterlights.

"No one gets through this part unless they got something good to give." The super sweaty guy says is sweat starting to form a puddle on the dead spot.

"Yeah you Greensouls don't get a pass to roam around freely." One of the cat like Afterlights say.

"Greensouls have a right to do whatever they want we don't care what you say." Sade says crossing her arms stubbornly guessing that Greensouls is an insult.

"Look dude I bet you and your girly don't even know what Greensouls mean." The guy with the bat says.

"One, I'm a girl! Two I know what Greensouls mean it means new arrivals to Everlost. Who gives you the right to question me and my friend?" Sade growls tugging at her hood that continues to stay at the same spot.

A dry humorless laugh leaves the bat guys mouth. "Me, Cardin gives myself and my partners Puddle, Whiskers, and Mew the right now hand over what you got or your not passing over." Cardin says blowing a bubble with the gum and popping it loudly.

Reagan and Sade growl angrily but were curious themselves to see what they had on them. Sade dug through her pockets and took out a her wallet and her phone. Reagan flipped her pockets inside out and a pack of gum, her phone, and a quarter falls out.

"I don't know what that technology is but I'll happily take the gum." Cardin says picking up the gum off the ground and spitting the gum he was chewing onto the ground making it sink.

"Litterer." Reagan mumbles disappointed her gum was just taken away from her.

"This is great but whats in the wallet?" Mew asks getting on her tippy toes putting her knife behind her back.

Sade shrugs and opens her wallet finding her school ID, cash, and a folded piece of paper. Cardin smiles smugly putting another piece of gum in his mouth smacking loudly on it.

"Well Cardin, the boss of this crew, thinks this gum is awesome but you'll need to give more than that to move forward." Cardin says referring to himself.

"What more can we give you we have nothing!" Reagan shouts shouts shoving her phone in her pocket then patting her sides.

"Well maybe if you girly and guy join our group we'll let let you pass." Puddle says a seductive smirk on his face as he looks at Reagan up and down.

"If we do that then we're not moving on then pervy puddle." Reagan growls not liking the way he was looking at her.

"You made a big mistake." Sade growls picking up Puddle and tossing him into the street making him landing face first and sinking.

"We'll get you back, we don't forget faces!" Cardin shouts hitting the ground with his bat before running over to Puddle with Whiskers and Mew to pull him out.

"We don't care!" Sade shouts running away from them.

"Bye pervy puddle I hope you find a new love!" Reagan shouts running after Sade laughing.
