Chapter 9

The elevator reached to a stop at the top and the doors opened. They walked in looking around the sound of violin flooding there senses. A boy who looked no older than the age nine played beautiful symphonys of music.

"Ms. Mary we have two Greensouls!" Lila said happily her innocence shining brighter than the sun.

Lila then walked off going to do what she was doing before.

Mary smiled making Sade cringe in obvious discomfort. Reagan was quiet not exactly wanting to speak. She clasped her hands obviously ecstatic about newcomers.

Reagan's shy demeanor was taking over her more and more every moment her green glow turning a light shade of violet.

Sade observed the Queen of Snots curiously. She wore an elegant velvet red dress that made Sade play with the cord hanging from her mouth. She looks absolutely stunning but she can't be drawing me in with her looks. Though she seemed so smart and she was so beautiful. A slight blush spread over Sade's nose and cheekbones.

"You know its rude to stare." Mary says practically gliding over a smile gracing her face.

Sade blushed darker upset at the fact that of all things she could still blush.

"So what are your names?" Mary asks.

"I'm Sade." Sade says thankful her almost lustful gaze was hidden under hood.

"I'm Reagan. Nice to meet you." Reagan said shyly.

"Nice to meet you as well. As Greensouls there must be questions you have about it." Mary says elegantly.

"Are you single?" Sade thinks.

"Uh why are you helping us?" Sade asks instead.

"Why the Twin Towers? I feel like we're trespassing on a gravesite." Reagan mumbled.

"I'm helping you because it is my job as Mary Hightower to watch over and help Afterlights." Mary said.

"Protect us from what? The world outside this tower. Its actually pretty fun until you start sinking." Sade says.

"Like Ash." Reagan comments.

"He shouldn't have annoyed me." Sade grumbled.

"What a temper you have. You know that kind of demeanor can get you in trouble." Mary says.

Sade bit down on the cord nodding.

The little boy playing violin finally stopped to Sade and Reagan's utmost approval.

Mary clapped approvingly. "That was great Vari I will allow you to give an encore later, for now meet Sade and Reagan."

Vari smiled brightly at Mary and walked over to them like a brat.

"I'm Vari and hooded guy Mary is mine. You might've lost whatever it is important to you but I'm not being forgotten. I can practically feel you staring at her you creep." Vari said bitterly.

"I'm a girl and you can't prove I was staring at her like you said you could feel it but you couldn't see it." Sade debated.

Mary shook her head. "No need for such behavior Vari, Sade is very nice."

Sade smiled a toothy smile a new pair of canines standing out from the rest.

Vari nodded hesitantly and apologized before getting a good look at Reagan.

"Hello Reagan." Vari said politely.
Reagan nodded. "Hi."

They're conversation was shortly lived and both said their goodbyes.

"Well I'll show you too your rooms." Mary says.

"What a hot queen snot. Hey I rhymed." Sade thought.

"I think I have a little kid crushing on me already this is a crap reality." Reagan thought.
