Clarke

Clarke paced on her platform of logs contemplating whether or not she should apologize to Bellamy for her outburst. It was clear to the campers, clear as any sunny day, that their two leaders were not one to cross at this moment. Octavia tried her best to soothe Clarke's nerves by giving her some water and a few food rations, but Clarke denied all of them.

She needed to get out, she needed to know that there was more to Earth than this god-forsaken place.

"Octavia", she called

"What's up Clarke?" Octavia said jogging over to her

"Can you take lead for a sec, I need to clear my head."

"Yeah sure, anything you need."

Clarke smiled grateful and made her way to the drop ship; she hadn't seen Jasper for a while and she thought he could lift her spirits. She pulled the curtain aside and was met by Bellamy. Clarke lost her footing and Bellamy caught her before she could fall. She was breathing heavily and just barely registered how close Bellamy was to her, she had never seen his face up close. She had never stared into those dark intense eyes that seemed to blaze with a past forgotten. He smelled like pine wood and oranges, how he got the oranges she had no clue. She could see every freckle clearly, splashed across his  nose and cheeks. They were impossibly soft colored, Clarke stared at his jaw and her eyes rested on his lips. His lips curved into a smile and that brought her to her senses.

"You okay Clarke? You look a little pale." Bellamy joked bringing her to her feet

Clarke took a shaky breath, "Fine, just fine."

"Okay then," he was     about to walk out when Clarke grabbed his hand

"Wait-, Bellamy wait."

Bellamy cocked his brow and looked at her hand, "Oh, um, I'm sorry" Clarke let go of his hand

"Okay, I'm waiting."

"I want to apologize for yelling at you earlier, it was out of line and ignorant."

Bellamy sighed and shook his head, "No you're not sorry, you spoke your mind. Now I know the truth about how you feel. It's all right," He walked away

"Please!" Clarke called, "Please Bellamy. I don't know what's right from wrong anymore. I'm lost, I have no idea how to protect the campers against the Grounders. I made so many mistakes, I banned Murphy, I almost got Octavia killed, I almost got Jasper killed, I killed Finn, " her voice cracked, "I am doing the best I can and I'm just trying to pick up the pieces-"

Bellamy leaned into her, "Did you love Finn?" he said looking at her

"How does that factor into anything that I'm saying?"

"Did you love him?"

"Yes, I loved him."

"Than fight, if not for the campers, then for Finn. Fight for love, fight for what you believe in." Bellamy left the drop ship
