Bellamy eventually fell asleep; sometime during the night their legs had intertwined underneath the blankets. It was early morning when Clarke awoke first. She opened her eyes and saw black and for a moment she panicked; but then she felt a breath. She turned her head slightly and saw Bellamy's sleeping face. And then she remembered last night and Pascal and Bellamy. The memory overwhelmed her and for once she felt safe. Here, under the blankets, shielded by his arms. She scooted up to eye level, his lips slightly parted, his hair in a frustratingly adorable curly-ques bed head. Clarke smiled. She brought her finger to his face and lightly traced it across his face. She softly traced the outline of his face, then his hard set jaw, his straight nose and almost absentmindedly she began outline the campsite across his face. Clarke lightly drew the dropship and the scattered tents, the woods and the graves. She was so focused to get every detail perfect as if tracing it across his face would somehow make it a reality. She was just about to draw the river when Bellamy's eyes flickered open. Clarke froze.

He smiled sleepily, "Hey princess."

Her fingers were hovering just above his lips, "Hey."

Bellamy grabbed her hand in his, his face close, "Did you sleep well?"

She was caught off guard by the question. Of course I slept well, have you seen your arms. Her conscious spoke. "Yeah." she sighed, she was too tired to form longer replies

Bellamy didn't seem to mind, he rested his forehead on her's, "How are you feeling?"

"Fine..." She propped herself up on her elbow and smiled, "I feel fine."

Bellamy tucked a stray lock behind her ear, "Just 'fine'"

"I mean I'd really like to take a shower but other then that-" Clarke laughed at Bellamy's expression, "What, it's a valid concern?"

Bellamy propped himself up like her, only she was a few inches beneath him, "You wanna take a shower?"

"I do." Clarke confirmed

"What were you drawing on my face?" Bellamy asked abruptly

Clarke arched her brow, "You felt that?"

"I would've let you finished but it was starting to tickle," he smirked

"I was drawing our home."

"The ark?"

"No. Earth. I drew the campsite and the woods, the graves and I was in the middle of drawing the river when you woke up." she said lowering her eyes

She looked slightly defeated and Bellamy spoke up, "Would you like to finish?"

Her eyes shot up and saw a mischievous look in his eyes, "Still the same, aren't you?" her brow tilted upward

"Can you blame me?" he said lowering his face so she could trace her river

There was that smug grin across his lips that she always knew him to wear, "I can't. You're awake now." She said pushing his face away

"Please" he said bringing his face closer to her's

She sighed and began tracing the outline of the river, using the curve's of his lips as a guide. Bellamy stared at her the entire time, the way her eyes scrunched when she met a difficult detail. They seemed to change colour, blue normally and green when reflected with light. She finished off by drawing the diving rock on his lower jaw.

"There." she looked up and gasped when she saw how close his face was to hers, she cleared her throat, "All done."

The tips of his lips curved upwards, "You sure?"

It was hard to keep her face straight because his handsome-ness was incredibly distracting, along with his signature aroma. No wonder girls were all over him.

And suddenly it was as if God finally saw Clarke starting to be happy and said "no".

Someone barged into the tent, scaring the living hell out of Clarke.

Bellamy growled, "Jasper you bastard, you better have a good reason for this."

Jasper stood in stunned silence at Clarke, sitting up breathing heavily to Bellamy his face screaming murder back to Clarke and back again to Bellamy.

"Uhh...I, well, I was, um.." Jasper fumbled on his words

"Jasper, did you forget to speak?" Bellamy said pushing the blankets off

"The ark."

"What about it?" he asked harshly

"We found a piece of it."

Clarke swung her legs over the edge of the bed, "What?"

"We found some wreckage this morning. It's still burning."

"What do you mean you found some wreckage?" Clarke asked pushing the hair out of her face

"It'll be easier if we just show you." Jasper said, "I'll wait outside." he hurried outside

"One day. Just one day is all I ask," Bellamy mumbled to himself angrily as he got out of the bed

"Hey," Clarke stood, grabbing his arm, "Don't be like that, we'll figure this out." She smiled sincerely, "We always do."

Bellamy's face softened, "Yea, your right..."

He squeezed her hand and grabbed her boots, "Here."

Clarke took them from him and began lacing them on her feet. Bellamy plunked his boots on his feet, not bothering to tie the front. Clarke soon realized that Bellamy's jean did not fit well to her waist.

"Wait. Bell, I need some other pants."

"You could always just take them off."

"Bellamy." She said exasperated, "Could you go to my tent and get my jeans? Please?"

He laughed, "Sure princess."

-

A minute or two later he came back with her jeans handing them to her, "Here."

"Great, thanks."

Bellamy didn't move a sly grin on his face, his hands clasped behind his back.

"No."

"Ple-"

"Out."

Like a defeated toddler Bellamy left the tent. Clarke quickly stripped his jeans and jumped into her's tucking in her excess shirt under the waistband. She came out.

"Kay, let's go see this wreckage," she nodded to Jasper.
