Willow's POV

"Hello brother," I say upon entering the room, just like last night. This morning was a success, printing a batch of 30 newspapers with my story. Luke easily snuck into a room with a computer and uploaded my pictures and typed up my story.

Placing the newspapers in front of the girl's rooms was Luke's idea. The pictures were mine. Especially the one of the curly haired brat and the prince kissing.

The only person who ever saw me was Rachel Dare and she didn't even suspect me. I'll have to try to become friends with her. That way I'll get more information from a reliable source. And I'll get some quotes from her to put in the paper.

"Hi Willow. Were you successful with giving all the girl's their papers?" Luke asks with mild interest.

"Of course, brother dear," I say, knowing it bothers him whenever I call him my brother.

We both have the same mother, but different fathers. I currently live with my father, Anthony Livingston. May Livingston left my father for a Four named Hermes Castallen. They had an affair for years before my father even married her. May Livingston became May Castallen. They had a baby boy, and my father found out and then she left him. Hermes left May soon after that. It served May right for leaving a perfectly good life. She had me a little bit later. The only thing Luke and I have in common, other than our mother, is our hair color. Luke lives with a few of his looser friends, both whom were selected. One of them is the best Annabeth Chase.

"Don't call me your brother. You're not my sister."

"Right, because the only one who is your sister is Annabeth, isn't that right, brother dear?" I say. His face goes white and I laugh as I walk towards him. I hold his cold face in my hands.

"You're much more transparent than you thought, brother. I'd watch out if I were you," I say while stroking his face. His eyes look breathless. "I doubt that you would like to cross me."

"What about Thalia, Willow? You forgot to mention her as my sister," Luke says bravely.

I take a knife that was hidden in my skirt and hold it to his throat. His Adam's apple bobs uncertainly.

"Oh, but I've seen how you look at Annabeth and how you look at Thalia. And the two looks are completely different, brother. You love Annabeth like a sister, but you look at Thalia with a look of need, a look of want. And it isn't a good thing to list over a girl from the Selection. Especially when a Selected knows about the said affair," I say, smiling as I twist the knife.

"You...you wouldn't say anything," he gasps.

I give him a cold smile. "You don't know what I would do."

Faster than Luke can move, I twist him away from me and slam his body to the ground. Before he can get away, I carve my knife into his back. He screams in pain while I dig it deeper. Blood starts to leak through his shirt.

I slowly dig the knife out of his back, bringing blood with it. Luke writhes on the floor, still in pain.

"Foolish brother! You fell on a rose bush and destroyed your uniform, cutting yourself in the process. My, my you're so clumsy," I say to my brother. He says nothing in return.

I pull him up by his collar. Luke winces at the sudden movement. I move his ear towards my mouth.

"If you value your life, you will keep my secrets, unless you want all of yours to accidentally scatter into the news. To you understand me, my weak brother?" I whisper.
