Atropos POV
"Did you think you could hide THIS from the High Council?" Victor asked in a questioning tone but making it clear I was ignorant about this situation.
"No Sir I didn't. I just wished to...." Wait what did I wish to do?
Victors face was covered in a smirk as I looked up at him.
Wait? What did he do to me? Why couldn't I remember what I was saying? My mind whirled with thoughts but never settled on one.
"Kitten I just read and wiped your mind." He sounds smug and proud. Yet I did not know why.
"Don't call me that." I simply stated unable to bring anything else up.
"Why?" He pouted but it was all fake. "You let the human call you nicknames!" He encouraged like a child.
"I am leaving in the following two days with all that is mine." My glaze landed on him. "This also includes my partner and ALL my belongings.
"As you wish." Is all he said as he turns his back to me to face the fireplace. "Just do not forget your place in my society. Because I swear one more incident occurs and your pretty little head will be sitting on my gold plate come Friday morning."
With that... Encouragement, I left. My mind was lost in thought as I walked to the living courters.
Entering the home I call out, "Caesar! We have big problems!" I was met with silence.
"Caesar?" I ask in a question. I was never met with silence by him. He was always there appearing at my call, yet, here we are him no where to be found.
My mind takes a double take. "Calm down." I whisper to myself, "he just had to run some business or something." My body relaxes as my heart beat slows. Just another thing that ties me to humans, my heart beats like theirs.
A slam comes from the front of the house. 'Caesar!' My mind whirls with where he has been as I race down the hallway I somehow traveled up and to the front door.
No one.... My heart drops into my stomach. 'Where is he?' I walk to the door, my senses aflame. There plastered to the front of the door is a note.
Note;-
"Its been a while. You may not even remember me but I remember you all to well. The way you turned your back on me. Well I guess the tables are turned. I have your lucky charm. I strongly suggest you do what I say if you wish for him to live." I could see the sick smile on this bastered face. "Stay quiet, don't run to Victor. Do what is told, tell Victor you're staying for another week. There will be another note come in the following two days."
My mind fogs over. 'What am I supposed to do? I can't go back without him! Why did I drag him into this.' Tears prickle my eyes as I leave the living courters.
I will get him back, and I will make this sick bastered pay.
Authors note; Terribly sorry for this crappy chapter. I shall continue to update and try to improve! Thanks.
