Nova's POV:
Later that day Nova was running errands for her daycare teacher. The daycare was her favorite class. If she was having a bad day, all she had to do was go in there. As she roamed the halls today she ran into Bo. She could see him smiling as soon as he saw her. "Your name is Nova right?" He asked her. She really hoped that wasn't his key pick up line. Most girls wouldn't like a guy asking what their name was again. "Yeah but who are you again?" She asked. Nova knew this boy knew her name. "Oh my! She speaks! What an honor!" Bo said falling against the lockers. They both were laughing by this point, but Nova couldn't stand around and joke. "I um gotta go, my teacher will kill me if I'm not back soon" she told him. Bo actually looked sad that she had to go. "Alright then." He said, his tone going from joking to serious.  "You should speak more often Nova Sparks." He told her before walking off. Nova felt as if she couldn't move after he said that. She didn't understand why he suddenly wanted to talk to her after 3 years. She wasn't even that interesting. Besides he was dating the head cheerleader, so he shouldn't be talking the technical lower class of Taylor High.

Bo's POV:
Bo couldn't wrap his head around Nova's behavior earlier. He got her laughing for a total of 2 seconds before her walls came up again. He'd slipped comments in around her all day to get her attention. When she struggled to pick up her book bag, he'd said "That book bag looks heavier than you". He earned a smile on that one. He didn't understand why it was so important to get reactions from her, it just was. Bo knew he was taking Bailey home today before practice, and he knew he had to do something about them. She was angry because he didn't text her back, and he was tired of a new fight everyday. Ever since he got to school her minions on the cheer squad had been watching him carefully. As the 2:30 bell rang he made his way to his truck to wait for Bailey with his mind on Nova Sparks.

Nova's POV:
"Nova Bethany Sparks! You talked to Bo Smith again!" Valerie squeaked into the phone. Nova pulled her phone away from her ear to get a break from her loud volume. "I love y'all together!" She continued to gush. "Val, he's got a girlfriend. Blood sucking head cheerleader Bailey." Nova said. "As if. That boy is yours not hers." Valerie said. Even over the phone her toned seemed to dare Nova to challenge what she just said. "Whatever. I'll talk to you in first period tomorrow." Nova said. "Yeah okay. I wonder what pick up line Monty is going to use tomorrow!" Valerie replied. Nova groaned as she hung up the phone. Monty's advances had only gotten worse. This week alone he'd indirectly asked her out twice, and the more she said no the harder he tried. Ricky and Valerie got endless amusement from Nova's discomfort. She'd taken to just ignoring Monty nowadays. He wasn't who she wanted, and everyone saw that but him.
Laying on her bed Nova thought about Bo. She'd known of him since she came to Taylor because of Danni and Valerie, but she didn't know him personally. She's never even seen him play football before which was irrelevant to her situation but still. Nova wanted to get to know Bo, but she didn't know how to tell him that. Hell, he was probably too busy with her Highness Bailey anyways. "But he talked to you at drivers ed" Her subconscious reminded her. And even said her book bag looked heavier than her. Even as smart as she was, Nova couldn't understand what he meant by that. "I need a nap" she said to herself. A nap would clear Bo right off her mind, but all she dreamed about were brown eyes and white smiles.
