Nova's POV:
Bo wants to get to know me. It was every normal high school girl's dream, but it terrifies me. He was going to ask so many intrusive questions, and he wasn't going to like any of the answers he got. Should I tell him about Jerome? How bad my freshman year was? It was killing me not knowing what he was going to ask.

As they got in his truck it stayed quiet. I can feel him looking at me, but I can't look back. "Where do you wanna talk at?" I asked quietly. "We could park in front of Lake Taylor." Bo answered. I nodded wordlessly. I was trying to decide if I shouldtalk about freshman year and Jerome. I should be honest if I want  this to work out but I know he wouldn't understand. He was perfect Bo Smith and I'm ordinary Nova Sparks.
The drive over to the lake was silent as if neither of us wanted to say anything too risky yet. Bo grabbed my hand and didn't let it go until he parked. I wasn't going to speak first, and Bo seemed to know that. "I'm not going to force you to answer anything you don't want to, Nova. I hope you know that." He told her. I only nodded again and gripped his hand tighter. "What's your favorite color?" He asked. I looked over at him in disbelief. I was worried for that? "Blue" I told him "And yours?"
"Blue" He answered. "Favorite song?"
"Adaptation by the Weeknd." I said "You?"
"I have never heard of that song but Burnin it down by Jason Aldean." He grinned. I've heard of that, and I spent a whole summer geeking over it. "Favorite food?" He asked. Can we get these basic ass questions out of the way? "Chicken nuggets." I told him. "You?" "A Highway 55 hamburger" he told me with a big smile.
"Can we get more personal now?" He asked me. What a gentleman. He actually asked. "Sure." I answered.
"Who was your first kiss with?" He asked with a smile. "His name was Noah Ridley and it was awkward and gladly forgettable." I answered. He laughed at my answer like I knew he would. "Stop laughing!" I giggled "Who was yours?"
"Her name was Whitney and after we did it her brother almost beat the shit out of me." Bo answered. I busted out laughing at his answer. "What did you do to her?" I gasped. "I tried to touch her boobs after and she was letting me and then her brother walked in so yeah." He said. "Oh my gosh! That's awful." I said laughing.

The questions kept coming and they got easier to answer as he kept asking. "Have you ever fallen in love?" He asked. And there it was. The moment of truth. Would I tell Bo about Jerome and go on and clear the air about it all? Was I ready to tell him about my past and the things I did?

"I have; only once though." I answered. If this was going to work then I needed to tell him about it, just not all of it today. "Can I ask with who?" He asked. "He's not someone I like talking about. It's a long story anyways." I muttered. I couldn't tell him more.  It'd be too much for one day, and Bo nodded as if he truly understood. "Have you?" I asked.

"I thought I did once, but it wasn't real. She cheated on me a month after we'd been together for a year." He answered me. I knew he was talking about Bailey and Jason. That week had been like the end of Taylor High's social world. Bo didn't show up that whole week, and rumors flew around the school about the whole situation. At that moment my phone started ringing, and it was Danni.

"Nova where are y'all? We're at Zaxby's." She said. "We're on the way." I told her.

Lucas's POV:

I can't believe I was with her. She didn't come off as shy when I first met her, but now she blushed every time I called her beautiful. That's what Danni Eatmon is. No one in my town is as beautiful as she is. "I don't want to rush anything." She told me after we'd kissed for the last 5 minutes. "Me neither. You're something special." I told her and I meant it. She's special and it didn't take a genius to figure that out.

We spent the rest of the afternoon laying in her tailgate talking about whatever she wanted to talk about. "We have to go back." She said after awhile. I could tell she was worrying about Bo and Nova. When we got to Zaxby's, they were gone. Danni looked somewhat shocked that they weren't here anymore. "Where did they go?" She asked me. "I don't have any messages from Bo." I answered her. She was cute when she was worried like she was. I watched as Danni pulled out her phone and called Nova telling them we were back and to come on.  "Did they say where they went?" I asked her. She shook her head with a smirk. "What?" I asked.  As she walked to me her smirk grew, and then I was being dragged out of the restaurant.

Danni threw me into the backseat and shut the door behind us. "I thought you wanted to take things slow." I told her as I tried catching my breath. She smiled before leaning down and kissing me slowly. "Slow enough for you?" She asked me before finishing what she started.

*******

"What did you and Nova do?" I asked Bo later that night. "We ate, went to the lake, and talked." He answered. He wasn't saying much about what they did. "What'd y'all talk about?" I asked. "Do you even care?" He snapped. What the hell? He couldn't still be angry after what happened earlier. "Well then." I mumbled as I walked out of his room. He was always mad about something anyways.

I couldn't get my mind off of Danni. She was so shy before we got back to the restaurant, but proved his doubts wrong about her in her backseat later that day. I looked in the mirror and saw the one of the hickeys she left me. I chuckled softly as I remembered how she did them.

"Slow enough for you?" She had asked. I knew I wanted to see her again, and it had only been one night.  I pulled out my phone and saw a text from my ex Kalie.

- Let's hang. I miss you Lukey.  she said.

Kalie knew I hated it when she called me Lukey. That's why she always did it. She was probably high off her ass or drunk; maybe both.  Our whole relationship was built off of sex. We used each other more than once before making anything official. At the time it was the best thing I'd ever had. Now all I could think about was Danni Eatmon.

- You only miss the sex.  I replied.

I could see her frustrated face when she read that. She always hated it when I called out what our relationship used to be.

- I'm positive I miss you baby boy. Come over my parents aren't home. She said.

That would've worked two months ago, but now I couldn't get another girl off my mind.

- Nah I have other plans. I lied.

At the same time I texted Danni and asked if she wanted to hang out.

- Whatever Lukey. You'll come crawling back eventually. Kalie said.

"Whatever you say." I said to the screen.  Danni hadn't answered yet, and I needed to go somewhere.

When I got in my truck, I checked my phone for a message from Danni.

- Sure. Where do you wanna meet? she replied.

- Anywhere. I said and I meant it. I would meet that girl anywhere.
