Nova's POV:
"I'm moving Nova" Jerome said. Nova didn't want to believe what he'd just said. They were just starting to take a step in the right direction and they were working everything out. "When?" She asked in a small voice. "Over Christmas break." He answered. She almost missed his answer because he said it so low. That was way too soon. What would happen to their fragile relationship? She choked back a sob, and he pulled her in close by her waist. "Why so soon?" She asked him. "I couldn't tell you that baby girl." Jerome said softly. Nova really started crying then. "Don't cry. Not over me baby" he told her. Nova couldn't find her voice to answer him.
Her last two months with him went by faster than any length of time she knew. She hadn't seen Jerome since he moved her freshman year. Nova couldn't shake her sadness of him leaving until the spring of that year. Jerome moved and took her heart with him.

The Next Morning:
Nova's alarm always went off too early. She groaned as she turned off the country song that played every morning, yet again she regretted staying up until 11 reading The Moon and More.  She was grateful it was Friday. This week had drug on and on, and each day seemed to take a toll on her mind and body. For the first time since Jerome left, Nova felt unprepared for the day.

Bo's POV:
Bo regretted working so hard after practice yesterday when his alarm went off the next morning. He was exhausted and sore, and it was game day. Coach was going to flip his shit. Turning off the country song playing he thought about Nova. He was worried about her after what happened yesterday at lunch. The way Valerie looked when she figured out what happened was the reason he'd went so hard during his workout last night. He didn't see what the big deal was when it came to calling Nova blue eyes. Her eyes reminded him of the color the ocean was across the horizon. A deep, unforgettable blue. Checking his phone for the time and a snapchat from Nova that didn't exist, Bo crawled out of bed, so he'd make it on time this morning.

Monty's POV:
He could not stop staring at Nova. Usually he could find a way to stop staring, but today she wore a tight black t-shirt, and it was driving him crazy.  She was laughing at Ricky and Valerie so she hadn't noticed him staring yet. When she was happy, her blue eyes sparkled, but when she was angry they were as dark as the ocean in the middle of a category 5 hurricane. If Monty was the beach then Hurricane Nova would tear him to shreds. He didn't understand why she hated him so much. "Monty will you please quit staring at me?" Nova snapped. He smiled and looked away. Her scolding was the biggest turn on for him, and he wanted  to see how mouthy she'd be in his bed. Nova looked at him in disgust almost as if she had heard his thoughts, and he smiled again. The game they played was fun.

Nova's POV:
"You know there's a pep rally today right?" Valerie asked her. Nova looked at her in disbelief. Homecoming wasn't until 3 weeks from now, and they weren't playing a county rival were they? "No there's not Val" she answered. "We play Norman tonight. Of course there's one." Valerie stated. Nova didn't want to go to the pep rally in the first place. She'd done a good job at avoiding Bo all day and she knew that once they were all in the gym she'd run into him somehow.  Valerie looked at her like she knew what Nova was thinking before walking into her fourth block. After the bell rang Nova's teacher told them that they'd be going to the gym and the thought alone made Nova want to fake sickness so she could miss it.

Bo's POV:
The whole team was acting like we had already won the game. Usually Bo would be right in the mix, fueling the team's hype, but today he knew Nova was in here. He had seen her come in with her class, and he was itching to go over to where she was. He could hear her laughing at what one of the people in JROTC said. Was she only distant with him? Bo sat there in and out of the team's conversation, watching Nova walk out of the gym with her friends.  After a few minutes, Bo got up and walked outside hoping he'd see Nova.
