When Natalia got back to her room, she noticed the covers turned down and Thomas, and his pool towel gone.
"Classic," she said shaking her head and pulling her own towel off of the rack, before tugging on her bathing suit and a cover up and strolling to the secluded pool, where she saw her familiar brown haired boyfriend, swimming laps alone.
She placed her things on the nearby lounge chair and sat at the end of the pool, with her legs in the cold water, not interested in getting wet.
"Good morning, Minx," Thomas called, as he swam up closer to her, rubbing the water out of his face.
"Good morning, Tommo," Natalia said lovingly kissing him briefly, and gasping as he grasped her thighs with his cold wet hands.
"Don't," she said with a smile on her face, before Thomas pulled her into the cold water.
Natalia squealed as the low temperature enveloped her, and she wrapped her arms around Thomas' neck, and legs around his waist, while he swam to the middle of the pool.
"Did you miss me last night?" Natalia teased, still clinging to his tall form.
"Yes, I had to go spoon with Bastian for comfort," Thomas teased back.
"Nice to know you can replace me when you're lonely," she shot back.
"You're better. Well you smell better," Thomas responded holding her at an arms length and winking, before kissing her again.
Just then Natalia sneezed again, and she attempted to direct her sneeze away from Thomas.
"What is it with this cold? It's been over a week," Thomas asked as Natalia struggled to contain her congested sinuses.
"Anna actually dragged me to go see a doctor yesterday," Natalia said carefully, detaching herself from Thomas, and was delighted to find the bottom of the pool close to her feet.
"Oh yeah, and?" Thomas asked swimming around her, herding her in the middle of the pool.
"Well," Natalia began to say. She cleared her throat, trying to come up with the words. I can't just spit it out, this is going to change his life!
"It's just that—"
"CANNONBALL!" Bastian's voice shrieked, before Natalia saw a wave of water at the end of the pool.
"Shit," she said under her breath and forced a smile as the two fools began splashing each other with water.
"I'm going to go shower!" she called to them, as she saw Philipp and Robert make way to their formerly solitary pool.
She saw a text on her phone when she got back, from her parents. It was a picture of Jamie and her father playing soccer in her parent's backyard.

Looks like a Bundesliga star to me ;)
Natalia responded, trying to subconsciously insert her desire to move back into her parents' thoughts.
The rest of the day passed in a blur. Anna brought her several of her delicious drinks throughout the day, something Natalia was grateful for. She slowly felt her strength returning to her, and even made it through a small lunch of noodles without feeling like her stomach was going to jump out of her throat. The team had several hours of conditioning, then practice, then weight training, then a session with their physio's, so Natalia did not see Thomas for longer than five minutes until the evening. The team was invited to a salsa dancing and Portuguese food dinner in the evening.
"How do I look?" Thomas asked, coming out of the bathroom, in dark washed jeans and a buttoned up shirt.
Natalia smirked at him, "I can't wait to undress you," she said bluntly, walking over to him barefoot.
"Zip me?" she said innocently, turning around, to which she heard him sigh.
He zipped her up slowly, and kissed Natalia's neck, to which she closed her eyes and sighed deeply.
"You look...radiant," Thomas said looking over Natalia one more time as she tugged on a pair of nude heels.
Natalia kissed his cheek as they walked to the dinner, and greeted all of their old friends like old times.
"Have you told him," Anna whispered in her ear as she hugged her in greeting.
"No I haven't had a chance," Natalia whispered in response, to which Anna pursed her lips.
"Do you want a drink, minx?" Thomas asked her
"Oh let me!" Anna said loudly, seizing the opportunity to ask the waiter for a nonalcoholic drink.
"Thank you," Natalia mouthed to her as she handed her a drink that looked strikingly similar to the rest of theirs, but without wine, to which Anna nodded.
Soon after drinks and appetizers were served, loud festive music began playing, and Natalia was tugged to her feet by an exuberant dancer, who she flew around the dance floor with. She saw Thomas nearby struggling to dance with one of the women in a large skirt and laughed loudly at his misfortune.
Unsurprisingly, Robert and Anna were taking over the middle of the dance floor—their athleticism was unmatched by any other couple present.
Soon the group paused to have some more food, but within ten minutes the majority of the group was back on the dance floor, including Natalia and Thomas who danced their own version of the salsa.
Cat danced with Bastian, who was without Sarah for this trip—she was at home with their boisterous 4-year-old girl.
"Let's go for a walk," Thomas whispered to Natalia intertwining their fingers, as they slipped away unnoticed by the rest of the group. They walked hand in hand down the moonlight path of the hotel, until they got to a scenic overview of the city, and the ocean.
"How are you feeling?" Thomas asked Natalia as they sat on a nearby bench, overlooking the stunning view.
Natalia cleared her throat, "Fine. Anna's been making me these amazing smoothies that actually don't make me want to hurl," she said with a small smile on her lips.
"And the reason you're not drinking...?" Thomas asked her pointedly.
"How did you—"
"I've known you for five years Natalia, I know when you're drunk," Thomas said a smirk growing on his face, "Tell me," he said nudging her with his knee, "What is going on with you?"
"I'm..." Natalia's voice drifted off and she cleared her throat and looked him in the eye, "Thomas, I'm..." her voice faltered and failed.
The last time a woman told him she was pregnant it wasn't his. I guess I can't do worse than that...
"Nat, I love you. I'm worried about you. Please tell me what the doctor said," Thomas said taking Natalia's hand, concern in his eyes, "Unless you want me to drag you to Tony and he can tell me what's going—"
"I'm pregnant," Natalia blurted out loudly, cutting him off.
"I knew it," he said standing up suddenly, the tone of his voice unreadable.
"Tom—Whoa!" Natalia squealed as Thomas turned around suddenly, lifted her up and spun her around, and kissed her.
"We're pregnant," he said a smile playing on his lips after he put her down, "We're having a baby."
We. I wish I could tell you how much I love you. We. We. We.
"Yes, goof, we're pregnant," Natalia said looking at his eyes, feeling that bubble of joy grow in her chest again, feeling like the luckiest girl in the world.
