I fiddled diligently with my silver necklace as I waited for my alarm to scream at me to wake up. A minute to win it!! I thought as I noticed one more minute tell I had to slap the alarm for it to shut up.

A blazing high pitched sound erupted the quiet room as I slapped the button on top of the alarm. Getting out of bed, I drug my feet over to my dresser pulling out a dark pair of skinny jeans and a plain blue T-shirt. Hastily changing into them before opening the door. I went into my bathroom, the sun gleamed off the white tiles as I brushed my long brown hair. I quickly threw on some makeup before leaving my room. I glided down the stairway railing, opening the kitchen door. Immediately the smell of waffles, syrup, and coffee greeted me with a warm hug.

"Smells good."

My mother turned offering a warm smile. "You're favorite." She set down a plate of waffles on the island in front of a wooden stool.

"You know me too well," I informed, sliding onto the stool.

My mother set a glass mug in front of me. "I put lots of french vanilla creamer and sugar in."

"Thanks," I dug into the waffles, not caring about the syrup that was sticking to my face. "Are you doing anything different at work today?"

"Nope, except I'm hoping its going to be busy today."

"You say that almost everyday."

"Yeah, well if it's busy that means I make more money." She took a seat next to me with a plate full of waffles.

"Isn't that how all businesses work?" I laughed, picking up my empty plate and bringing it to the sink.

I rinsed my plate before putting it in the sink. Going over to the front door I pulled down my favorite jacket. It was a maroon color and had dark gray fuzz on the inside. I Pulled it on, zipping it up half way as it immediately began to warm. Grabbing my star wars converse I slipped them on with ease. As I pulled on my light gray slouchy beanie before grabbing my wooden skateboard. The words you are free to fly written on the bottom of it. Then I grabbed my black star wars backpack that had the vans logo on it, I walked out the door. Setting down my skateboard I began on my small cold, journey to school. While I rode I pulled out my headphones from my pocket and put them in my ears before pushing play. Centuries by Fall Out Boy burst from the headphones as I mouthed the words to myself.

I came to a stop in front of my tanned bricked school. Putting my skateboard under my arm I pushed open the glass door and entered the hallway. A group of cheerleaders were talking by the door, seeming to be a blur of hair and makeup as I walked silently. All the while I made sure not to make any eye contact with anyone.

Pulling my strap of my backpack up I ran into someone making my skateboard clatter to the ground. I bent down to pick it up when a hand touched mine, ignoring it I picked up the skateboard before finally looked at them. He had light blue eyes that reminded me of ice from Antarctica and brown hair that was so messy he must of just woken up.
