Tragic love

Mariposa's Dream

I wake up to that smell of smoke and a dim light. I was in my room from our old house. I got up to see the living room on fire.

"Daddy!! Daddy where are you!!??" I scream while crying. The roof was about to cave in and the door was already blocked by burnt wood that already fell down.

I ran to my room and hid under my bed and started to cry.

"Sugar wings where are you??" A familiar voice yelled.

I realized that it was my dad.

"In here daddy" I yelled still crying.

I get from under the bed to see my dad at the doorway. I run to him and hug him tightly he hugs me back.

My dad picks me up and he runs me to the front door and kicks the door open.

Once he did that the roof began to cave in and my dad through me out the door.

Pain shot through my body when I hit the ground, but I ignored it.

I turn to see that the roof to the house has all ready caved in.

I run to where the door used to be. I see my dad on the ground with burnt wood piled on him. I sit down and put my dad's head on my lap.

I was crying even more right now.

"D-daddy p-please don't leave m-me." My stuttering coming back.

"My little sweet girl stay strong and I will always be with you. Take this and promise me to never be afraid," my dad said handing me a gold heart locket.

"I promise I love you daddy."

"I love you too my strong soldier" my dad said while putting his bloody burnt hand on my cheek it falls after a while.
