The air around me was buzzing. It was already dark and I could see my breath in the cold evening air. I was currently sitting in between Lydia and Kira on the bleachers of the lacrosse field. Today was the day of Stiles' game. He had been nervous all day and I had a hard time calming him down. But telling him that he's my hero wether they win the game or not helped at least a bit.

The Sheriff was sitting in the row behind me with my mom. It's still weird for all of us that not only Stiles and I were in a relationship but also our parents. It had been especially tough for Stiles because seeing his dad with another woman was new for him. My mom had been on a couple of dates since the divorce from my dad so I was used to it. And I still had both of my parents. The Sheriff dating was him moving on from his wife, Stiles' mom.

"Hey I think the game is about to start." Lydia nudged me and I rubbed my hands together to get them a bit warmer looking for Stiles in the group of maroon jerseys. When I spotted number 24 I waved my arms around and called his name.  Stiles turned around his eyes searching for me on the bleachers until he found me. When he did I turned around to show him that I was wearing the maroon sweatshirt he had given me. Stilinki 24. I pointed to the letters with my thumb before turning back around to see a huge smile stretching around Stiles' face. Before he could react in any other way, Coach blew the whistle and shortly after, the game began. Beacon Hills was playing against Devenford Prep who, as Stiles told me, were pissed because one of their former team members had destroyed their coaches car, because he got kicked out. And said former team member was now on our team.

And Stiles wasn't wrong, the boys in the green jerseys were pretty aggressive and I started to worry about Stiles safety. Kira wasn't feeling any different, Scott was the team captain and he felt responsible for any injury that occurred. And he had been knocked down a couple of times himself.

We were almost at the end of the last quarter and Beacon Hills was one goal behind. I could see Stiles and Scott talking on the field and when I judged Stiles body language correctly he was angry and annoyed. He kept on pointing to the other side of the field where the other team was preparing for the next move. Stiles gripped his helmet before going back to his position.

There were five minutes left and if Beacon Hills wanted to win they had to score two goals in these five minutes. The ball was quickly thrown around on the field and when the ball hit the net at the back of Devenford's goal we all jumped up in glee. One more goal and we would win. There were barely two minutes left and I think nobody really thought that we would score another goal in time.

Nobody knew my boyfriend would be not only my hero but also Beacon Hills' hero for tonight.

When Stiles caught the ball he was a bit shocked for a second but then started running towards the goal. I jumped up and down in anticipation.

"C'mon Stiles! You can do it!" I kept on shouting trying to cheer him on even though I doubt he heard me, everyone else started shouting as well. Stiles dodged all the opposing players before he finally stood in front of the goal and after a moment of hesitating he threw the ball and the goalie jumped forward missing the ball by maybe an inch, the ball was in the goal and the game was over. I started shouting, still jumping up and down. Stiles had pulled his helmet from his head and thrown his arms into the air in triumph and now his team mates were carrying him around the field while I made my way down towards them. When I reached the last step of the bleachers Stiles was being put back to the ground. I ran towards him and jumped on his back without warning. Stiles grabbed the back of my knees in reflex while I flung my arms around his neck placing a kiss on his cheek.  He turned his head a bit to me, smiling before he let go of my knees and turned around placing his hands on my hips. His eyes were sparkling and his forehead was a bit sweaty, his hair sticking to it.

"You did it Stiles!" I cheered and his smile got even bigger.

"I did it!" I laughed lightly before pulling him closer by his neck and kissing him. I could feel Stiles letting out a breath while he pulled me closer by my hips pressing our bodies perfectly together. The kiss was just about to turn more passionate when a voice caused us to pull apart.

"Stiles!" The Sheriff was standing behind me with my mom, they both looked proud. "Son I'm so proud of you." They both hugged and it was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. I don't think I have ever seen some one with such a strong connection with their dad.

My mom came over to me wrapping one arm around my shoulder while we watched the exchange between the two Stilinski men.

"You're really lucky to have him." I nodded smiling. Yes I was. I never thought someone would make me so happy, let alone Stiles.

"Yeah, I know. But so are you." I nudged her lightly and she chuckled nodding.

"I suppose you're right."

After Stiles had scored the winning goal all of us celebrated the win at Lydia's house. The party went perfectly well and we all had a great time. It was now 2 am and I was in Stiles room waiting for him to finally be finished in the bathroom. When he entered the room he smiled widely at me, like he had been all evening. He climbed onto his bed, where I was laying, crawling over me supporting himself with his arms. He just stayed there hovering over me a huge smile on his face.

"What?" I asked chuckling, he had that expression on his face and I didn't know how to interpret it.

"I'm just really happy. Like genuinely, completely happy." His words made my heart skip a beat.

"I'm happy, too." We looked at each other with idiotic smiles for a long moment before Stiles spoke up again. This time in a hushed whisper.

"I love you." If my heart skipped a beat when he said that he was genuinely happy, it stopped beating completely now before hammering in my chest. I probably had tears in my eyes because  I was so happy and the moment was so perfect.

"I love you too Stiles."

A/N: Okay guys. So, this is it. I decided that I want to end the story here for good because I didn't really know how to continue it. I had some ideas but they didn't really work out so that's why this will be the last chapter of 'Misunderstood' I hope you enjoyed it. Personally I'm quite proud of it haha.

Thank you so much for reading and I hope to see you soon in one of my other books. ❤
