I lock myself in my room once the full moon takes its effect on the pack. Werewolves call each full moon by name; the month of October is called Hunter's Moon. Many Weres found this month preferable to hunt for an extended period of time, hoping that it would bring them luck or that they are able to find good prey. My favourite full moon was Wolf Moon, January's full moon.

Within a couple of minutes from falling on my bed, after striding out of Micah's car into the house without a second glace or word, I fall into a deep sleep.

My sweet dream is suddenly corrupts into something dreadful; the familiar dead skeleton trees paired with thick mist covering my tracks as I run in the dream, puts my sleeping body on edge. Once again, I'm running away from something, probably the red eyed monster but it catches up to me again. The bulging full moon casting lights on the silky black fur but the crimson eyes reminded me too much of death, an accompanying smell making everything about this nightmare so much more real.

My parent's death. Vivian's death.

I halt in my tracks, letting the monster stalk towards me with its head hanging low and his gleaming teeth bared. The monster nears me, it's nose resting just above my head and I try to wake myself up only to no avail; this almighty beast opens its jaws wide, giving me a perfect view of the full set of sharp blades for teeth, gleaming in the darkness before rushing forwards and clamping them down on my side as I scream both in my nightmare and wake letting out another.

I leap up with gasping breaths, my back drenched once again as I violently brush the tears that were streaming from my eyes.

Why did that feel so real?

Taking a quick shower and changing into a clean pair of clothes, I tip toe down the stairs and head to the kitchen. I fill a large cup with fresh orange juice and take my time as I bask in the full moon's glow, ignoring the shivers raining down my back from the memory of the vivid nightmare.

I flinch when I feel Micah's presence behind me and slowly turn to face him, swallowing my gasp when my eyes fall on his naked torso; I'd seen him like this a bunch of times but Hunter's Moon was doing some justice to the Alpha's muscled arms.

"A bit early to be up, don't you think?" He nods to the clock reading three in the morning, his warm honey eyes narrowing on me in concern.

"Bad dream." I explain, taking the last gulp of my drink.

"What happened to Vivian wasn't your fault, not everybody survives." He murmurs, shoving his hands deep into his pockets.

"I know, it's just... it reminded me of how much better my mom was at all of this." I shrug.

Micah was probably thinking my dream was about my guilt but i could only wish my nightmares were that tame, in a way compared to the two occasions where I thought I was actually dying in my sleep.

"You're amazing." Micah shakes his head on a frown.

I smile slightly in thanks and watch as he walks towards me and pushes my hair behind my ear; his signature move.

"Go back to sleep, Omega." He murmurs, surprising me when he leans forward and presses his lips against my forehead.

"Night." I whisper, trying to hide my shocked state as I walk around his tall frame and to the stairs.

The Alpha and I are just friends.

[The Mad Alpha POV]

The Alpha of Cold Hill Pack stood in silent fury yet slight trepidation as he watches the Mad Alpha stroll casually past the terrified pack members of Cold Hill Pack and towards the Alpha's home.
