Wendigo are cannibalistic shape shifters, who crave human flesh and blood. Normally human in appearance but when shifted they gain a mouth full of razor sharp fangs and glowing greyish-white eyes that allow them to see clearly in darkness. Their lust for human flesh is notorious and difficult to control. Wendigo are either born or descended.

Origin:
The Wendigo find their origin in a myth about Native Americans who developped an insatiable desire for human flesh if they started eating it. This turned them into wendigo, the Native Americans considered this to be a curse suggesting the transformation is magical in origin.

Diet:
Wendigo have to survive on human flesh and blood, or human based beings meaning they can eat most other supernaturals, including other wendigo which is where they gain their cannibalistic reputation. It doesn't matter if the meat is alive or dead, fresh or dated, as long as it's human then a wendigo can eat it, they however have a slower metabolism than humans so they don't have to eat as much, able to survive on only one or two bodies a month.

Wendigo can't eat most human food as it would be poisonous to them if digested however they can consume most drinks such as alcohol or coffee. If a wendigo doesn't feed their hunger then they will start to develop more violent behaviour until they reach an almost wild animal-like state causing them to attack and eat anyone they come in contact with until they've satisfied there hunger. Eating animal meats, such as raw cow meat, won't be poisonous and can provide some nutrients however not as much as human meat so isn't often considers a good substitute amongst Wendigo.

Powers and abilities:
Wendigo like all supernatural beings have their own supernatural talents and characteristics which make them different from humans.

Superhuman strength; Wendiogo have great strength, even when compared to other supernaturals, they are capable of bending steel or breaking concrete with their bare hands and are known to be able to over power most supernaturals in raw strength.
Superhuman senses: Wendigo have senses above that of humans , especially their sense of smell which works similar to that of a blood hound, they use this sense to track down their prey or detect blood in their area. Their eyesight as is above that of humans when shifted capable of seeing clearly in the dark.
Wall crawling: They have been shown to be able to climb and cling to surfaces such as walls and ceilings with inhuman ease
Powerful fangs: Wendigo have powerful retractable fangs capable of ripping off limbs.
High endurance: Wendigo can take a lot of physical trauma and can withstand great amount of pain or pressure as well as able to withstand freezing temperatures for long periods of time however their body is extremely vulnerable to fire.
Rapid healing: They can heal from most physical wounds and diseases at a rapid rate , they are not only capable of healing fatal wounds but can even regrow severed limbs, although this can take awhile.
Longevity: Though not immortal, due to their healing ability they age at a slower rate than human causing them to have a longer life span.

Weaknesses:
Though formidable Wendigo can still be hindered, hurt and killed by certain things.

Mortality: Although they live longer than humans they will still eventually die, they can also be killed by extreme physical trauma such as decapitation or heart extraction.
Hunger: As stated above if a wendigo doesn't feed for an extended amount of time they will slowly start to lose the remaining humanity they have and will display uncontrollably, animalistic behaviour until they fulfil there primal hunger.
Fire: Although able to withstand more physical damage than humans they still have a weakness to fire. Their body is more vulnerable to it due to it nullifying there healing capabilities. Most Wendigo also appear to have an intense phobia of fire which is believed to be an innate biological reflex due to them cowering in fear for flame even when in a hunger induced trance.
