Dryad's also known as Forest or Wood nymphs are a type of Seelie who normally dwell within the great forests of the Seelie world of Avolon. They are spirits and conduits of nature and are known for their control over plants and vegetation. They normally use botany, the scientific study of plants, in this case sometimes magical plants, to create potions, elixirs and tonics which can cause different effects such as healing or transmutation.
A Dryad's shift is subtler than most as all they gain is glowing green eyes.
Behaviour:
Dryads are normally a quite peaceful and caring race of Seelie however like the nature they embody, they can be protective and wrathful when provoked calling upon the forces of the earth to protect themselves or nature and can be quite hostile to those they deem pose a threat. They do however tend to try and see the best in people and trust others easily but this does not make them naive and an easy target.Powers and abilities:
Dryads have many different special abilities at there disposal to defend themselves or to solve problemsLongevity: Dryads have an extended lifespan giving them the ability to live for hundreds, maybe thousands, of years.
Chlorokinesis: Dryads have the power to create, grow, mutate, control and destroy plants and vegetation, they can use this to grow the ingredients to there potions, tonics and elixirs. They can also use this talent to summon vines to trap or attack others and can restore dying plants to life or whither away living plants to dust.
Geokinesis: They can influence and control the earth beneath their feet, they can use this power to cause earthquakes and tremors or to levitate rocks that can be propelled at enemies.

Plant physiology: Dryads don't just have an affinity for plants but are also part plant themselves able to absorb sunlight and drain water through they're skin to sustain themselves. They can also produce plant-like substances such as seeds, thorns, berries and swarms of leaves out from there body.
Botany: Like witches they can mix different magical and none-magical ingredients to produce supernatural effects, however Dryads have a certain advantage in that they can create some of their own ingredients, such as producing herbs, berries, woods or other plant substances to create there potions for many different purposes such as to heal, increase ones abilities, transmute, conjure fire, decay and kill.
Enhanced endurance: Due to there plant like physiology they can withstand more damage than humans however this does make them more vulnerable to fire.
Increased healing: Due to there plant like physiology they can heal much quicker than humans and can even grow back limbs like how trees can grow back branches.Weaknesses:
Like all supernaturals, Dryads have weaknesses to balance out their strengths.Excessive physical trauma: Despite their increased endurance they can still be killed by decapitation or to much bodily damage.
Weed killers: Weed killers or other chemicals that can harm or kill plants can be harmful to Dryads and their creations.
