An Elf is a humanoid species of Seelie, unlike some mythology, Elves are not small and disfigured humans and in-fact look very similar to humans however they can shift back and forth from an Elvish form and a human form. When shifted an Elf will gain pointed ears, pale skin, golden eyes, pink skin around the eyes and pure white hair. However unlike some other species, most Elves rarely shift into human form unless it's completely necessary as it can effect their superhuman hearing and sight that without they can feel uncomfortable and irritable until they get used to the feeling.
Role in Seelie society:
Elves are commonly Knights and warriors in their own world and make up the majority of the Fey armies however other species, especially Pixies and Sprites work in the armies as well being the arial and medical services. Elves are often met with a level of respect and expectation from other Seelie's.Powers and abilities:
Elves have many different powers and abilities that make them formidable fighters.Longevity: Elves have extended lifespan's and very slow physical ageing giving them the ability to live for hundreds, maybe thousands of years.
Superhuman condition: Elves are physically more capable than humans as they have enhanced agility, stamina, speed, strength and reflexes, they are also immune to human diseases.
Superhuman hearing: When Elves are in their true form they have incredible hearing far beyond that of humans.
Predictive vision: When an elf's eyes are burning gold they are able to predict the movement of whatever they see which grants them an upper hand in battles.
Elvish weapons: Elves can use magical elvish weapons that are capable of killing immortal and intangible beings. The weapons elves use are marked with symbols that make the elf who owns the weapons the only one who can use them unless the elf has given someone permission to use one of their weapons. If someone without permission touches one of the weapons it will burn them to the touch as if the weapon had been super-heated. The weapons can include swords, daggers, bows and arrows, axes, crossbows, maces, chains, scythes, spears and many others, these weapons can be made from numerous different elven materials that resemble earth's metal, stone and glass, whichever they tend to be near indestructible and occasionally have certain magical properties to aid them in their purpose, which is usual killing things. The weapons can also be summoned at any time by the one who owns them as if they are being pulled out of thin air.
Portal creation: Through using arcane elvish symbols and an incantation in ancient elvish, Elves can open portals to other locations. This however takes a lot of energy so Elves normally need to recharge after using this incantation a few times.
Supernatural sense: Elves can sense supernatural energies and forces, they are especially responsive to magic of Seelie origin.Weaknesses:
Elves are a more pure blooded Seelie so have more basic Seelie weaknesses.Excessive Physical trauma: Elves can be killed by to much physical injury and can be harmed by mortal weapons.
Magic: As Elves have many magical connections, such as to their weapons and to nature, that can be syphoned and used to affect their power.
Iron: Iron burns more pure blooded Seelie to the touch but is described as more of a freezing feeling rather than an burn hence the term "cold iron". Only pure iron affects them so steel and other iron alloys won't affect them.
Rowan wood: Seelie magic is weakened and doesn't work on objects made of rowan wood.
