Strigoi

Strigoi are a race of enchanted undead immortals who sustain themselves on the life essences of the living either through the consumption of the blood or the soul. They have went by many names such as Upir, Lyzanryn and Moroi however they are most commonly known to humans as Vampires.

Appearance:
Strigoi natural have a deathly pale complexion with their skin often appearing as a light hue of grey. They also have pointed teeth with the two canine teeth being extendable to aid in feeding, these two fangs are also their only teeth that secrete venom. Their pupils naturally cover their entire eyes making them appear like two solid black holes. Their bodies can also be stained with demonic tattoo-like symbols and markings that grows in complexity and size as the Strigoi ages and grows in power, these tattoos often start around the heart before growing round the chest, arms, back, torso and legs. These symbols only reach the neck in very old Strigoi and only ancient Strigoi possesses facial markings. All these characteristics are always present however can be hidden behind an illusion, know as a glamour or a fade, although this illusion deteriorate when exposed to direct rays of sunlight.
Strigoi also have very dark blood that appears as black as ink, although well fed Strigoi blood can develop a deep purple tint due to their increased magical energy. Strigoi also often give off an aura of attraction or interest to others subconsciously which is used to draw in prey.

Diet:
Strigoi sustain their immortal lives by consuming the life essence of living creatures, which they quickly develop an insatiable thirst for that can be difficult to control, especially when young. They satisfy their thirst and bodily requirements by consuming the blood of the living either directly from the source or from blood bags. Older Strigoi can also feed on the souls of mortals leaving behind the victims bodies as zombie-like shells known as "Hollows" that can be easily controlled by their creator.

Society:
Strigoi are one of the oldest creatures to walk the earth and can sometimes seem intimating to other supernatural creatures. Strigoi society works similar to that of human royalty as their is demonic strigoi royal families that raise and eventually turn special humans into their prodigies to be their rightful air, however changes in leadership is rare with immortals often only coming in times of war, betrayal or revolution. Despite once being human most Strigoi, especially older ones, see humans as nothing more than slaves at best or cattle at worst. Younger and more forward thinking Strigoi however have treated humans with respect and compassion although this is not in their nature.

Turning process:
The turning process of vampirism is partly unknown although it is believed that a Strigoi will bite a victim infecting them with their venom, this will cause the victim to experience hallucinations, euphoria, sudden rushes of energy, hot and cold flairs, increase appetite, prophetic dreams and extremely dilated pupils until the venom eventually leaves their system. To complete the process the Strigoi will feed the victim some of their own blood. As Strigoi blood also causes extreme drug-like symptoms when it is combined with Strigoi venom it causes the victim to quickly over-dose and eventually die. When the sun rises the next dawn the victim will resurrect as a new born Strigoi who will have an incredible thirst to feed. Although this transformation would appear simply just chemical this is a misnomer as when a human adepts to turn themselves by taking both Strigoi venom and blood simultaneously they will still over-dose and die however won't rise as an undead immortal at dawn. This suggests that the Strigoi must take further action to cause the resurrection of their prodigy.

This turning process must be done at night so the prodigy isn't tainted by day-lit hours while transforming into an undead immortal. It is also the natural order that a prodigy must rise at dawn.
