"I love you."

I love you...

My mind was racing in circles, and not because I was dizzy. Did he just say what I think he said? These pain meds must cause hallucinations.

"W- what?" I said in pure shock. I was practically speechless, I mean these were serious words.

Oh my god Perrie, you're pretty sure the guy just told you he loves you and all you can say is what?

"Perrie, I love you." Zayn said not removing his eyes from mine.

"You, you do?"

Oh my god, now I'm questioning him. Why am I such a failure at these types of conversations? At least now I know I'm not hallucinating.

"Of course I do Perrie. I never stopped. And I get why you broke up with me, I do, but I know us not being together is killing you is as much as its killing me. And this isn't exactly how I wanted to tell you I loved you, but I need you to know."

Zayn was right. It was killing me. And to think he loved me the whole time, and I was too busy caring about someone else's happiness rather than my own.

"Look Zayn, I'm sorry, I really am. I guess I was just tired of causing fights between the two of you, but you're right. Its killing me. Actually, ever since this morning I've been wanting to get back together, I just didn't know how to tell you. I thought you didn't like me anymore." I said sadly.

He laughed quietly to himself. "Perrie if I didn't like you, would I have picked you up and taken care you?"

"No, I guess not." I smiled.

Zayn grinned back at me.

"But for the record, I shouldn't have put others happiness before my own Zayn. How could I have been stupid enough to lose the one thing that means everything to me?"

Zayn smiled brighter than the sun as those words left my lips. "I'm glad I mean so much. But hey don't beat yourself up about it, you were trying to be a good friend to Niall. I know he's important too." Zayn said sighing.

I could tell he missed Niall.

"Niall is important but I'm done with his shit. I don't give a flying fadoodle if the kids still in love with me. I've given him enough time to move on."

Zayn chuckled. "Flying fadoodle eh? Shits getting serious now."

I playfully slapped his shoulder. "Shut up."

"Look Perrie, just give him his space. Besides, we saw him kissing Jade anyways." Zayn shuddered at the thought.

I had totally forgot about that. I wonder what that's all about. Hopefully Jade would tell me, or I'd had no choice but to admit I had seen it happen.

"Oh yeah. Guess he moved on." I clapped my hands a few times.

Zayn shrugged his shoulders. "Lets hope."

"Hey I hope you and Niall work things out." I said but then regretted bringing it up.

"Yeah I do too, but don't worry about me and Niall, we'll work it out. We always do. We're like brothers." Zayn said with confidence.

"But he said he's done."

"Yeah, but if you know Niall, you know he's horrible at holding grudges."

"Okay." I sulked.

"Perrie stop worrying." He pulled me in close and kissed my cheek.

I just nodded. I wasn't sure if Zayn and I were back together, but one of us had to make it official.
