Poem 148

My heart is heavy with the hate of who I once was
I'm drowning
My lungs can take it no more
I have set myself on fire to keep everyone else warm
My flame is all but a failing spark
My once warm heart has turned to ice
Words betrayed me
Intentions that were pure but methods that were tainted
Murky water washed over me
Blurring the lines in my ruined mind
Everything that was once clear has no defined lines
