I love you too
God,
Why couldn't I say it?
I think of you when I wake up
I crave your touch
I need your affection
I beg for your approval
And yet
I am unable to utter these words
I wonder
Is it because I fear
And of course that's the answer
But
What do I fear?
You have not hurt me or lied
Your arms are my safe place
Yet
I fear that
One day we will crumble
And then those words will feel like a
Waste
