"Honey! Dinner's here!" Phig's mom called. Phig took the pillow off of his face.

"What is it?"

"Burgers, sweetheart!"

Phig groaned and put the pillow back on his face. He hated the burgers. They tasted weird to him, so he had stopped eating them a long time ago.

"Anything else?"

"Whole wheat rolls!" Well, it was better than burgers, so Phig pulled himself up and walked into the living/dining room.

"Are you excited for Entertainment tomorrow?" his mom asked. Phig's eyes widened. Tomorrow? He wasn't prepared to watch his friends doe just yet. Plus, Grand Leader would be there. What if he tried to take Don again?!

"So...?"

Phig snapped back to reality. "Oh..yeah, I guess so."

"Good. Now eat your roll."

Phig ate in silence. How could it have been five days? Yesterday it felt like four. With a pounding headache he felt coming on, Phig quickly finished his roll and went back to his pillow. It was the only friend he was sure about.

Phig collapsed on his bed at stared cross-eyed at the ceiling. It put everything in a different light. A weird one, but it still helped him get through everything. Even if it gave him a bigger headache.

***********************

Don lay on her small mattress, trying to forget it all. Tomorrow could be the end. Of her friendship, her sanity, especially her temper. There was NO WAY she could live with her father. None.

'I'm doing this for Phig,' she thought, 'nothing else.'

Yawning, Don closed her eyes and drifted off to a dreamless sleep.

What neither Don nor Phig realized, the next day would change EVERYTHING. Absolutely

nothing

will

be

the

same.

Author's Note-

What will happen next, hmm? Well, you're gonna have to wait and see. Also, Sheri's proposal is not gonna happen. I'll add that in next chapter. It may happen later, but with the storyline I have planned, I don't think I can fit it in.
