Danny opened the door to Don's extreme rocking out to Exit Wounds.
"I...don't need to know," he said, shutting the door to Don's room behind him. "I got news. There's a plan. We're going to get you to take Arrekan."
"Me? Why me?"
"Because, it's in your blood," Danny held up a hand as Don was about to protest. "Nope. You're the best fit out of all of us to do it."
Don had to agree with that. "Wait...who's 'all of us?'"
"You, me, Dan, and Phig."
Don was shell shocked. "They're alive??"
"Of course, laddie."
"When is this happening? What do I have to do? Give me every detail."
"Well, it's going to be tomorrow. Dan and Phig are going to sneak back in and detain Grand and somehow force him to give Leadership to you. Dan wouldn't let me in on the details on that part."
"Okay...and what are we going to do in this?"
"I'm going to help detain him, and you're going to be the one to interrogate him. Dan said there was a backup plan, but he didn't let me know what it was."
"I have a pretty good idea."
"Me too. Dan's seen too much shit for him to have the patience to deal with this."
Don faked a gasp. "Did Danny-boy just swear?"
"Yes, he did. And he'll keep doing it until the end of times."
Don laughed. "Now can I please get back to listening to music?"
"It was a little more than just listening, laddie."
With that, Danny left Don to her business.

THE NEXT DAY-
Don woke up to sounds of running in the halls. It sounded like a bunch of Burlies.
Don put some actual clothes on and was tying up her combat boots when the door opened and shut quickly. When Don looked up she realized that Danny had come in.
"How'd you-"
"Skill learned with time. Now come on! Something's gone wrong that we didn't plan for and we need your help now."
Don wasted no time in getting up and swiftly following Danny out the door to go to...
...the potion room. Don's heart sank.
Danny put in the code for the door and let Don in.
What she saw stilled her.
In the middle of the room with his back to her was Phig, who's hair had grown past the dye's limit and was blonde at the end. Facing him at the edge of the circular room was Grand with a potion in his hand. Dan was trying fruitlessly to get free from a potion-made web that had him trapped on the left side of the room.
But the potion in Grand's hand was what scared Don most.
It was a death potion. If any drop of it hit Phig, he would die instantly. No matter what protection potion he had in effect. The only weapon Phig had was a rusted dagger that he must've found during his time in the wild.
Don felt like she was watching a movie as in slow motion Grand uncapped the potion and was preparing to throw it on Phig. Just when he lifted it up Don saw herself running in slow motion in front of Phig and feeling the cold potion splash onto her skin and clothes.
'Man, these were my favorite boots,' she thought as she looked at her potion-stained boots and heard a scream that sounded very far away.
Then there was nothing.
