What just happened?
There was no possible way that anything Phig thought he had witnessed had happened.
But if that was the case, why was Don lying on the floor in front of him and not breathing?
Phig looked up from his shocked state to see Grand on his knees across the room. Phig bet it was the only time he had ever gotten down on his knees like that.
"This wasn't...how...no..."
Phig saw Danny dash around behind Grand, making a potion. He thought he heard him mutter "Don't screw up, not now..."
Dan had finally stopped trying to get out of his web and just stared there stone faced looking at Don.
Phig himself sunk down to his knees and cradled Don's cold body in his arms.
"I...I never even got the chance to say it..."
"Say it, Phig."
Phig looked over at Dan, tears blurring his vision. "Just because you haven't yet doesn't mean you never will." Dan said.
Phig nodded. He leaned down near Don's ear and whispered, "I love you."
Of course, nothing happened. Then there was the sound of a crash. "Shit!" Danny called. "I...I...no...it's too late..."
Don was gone. Grand buried his face in his hands and cried silently.
Phig didn't want to let go. So he didn't. Out of the corner of his eye he saw a light. It was a light blue spark that came and landed on Don's cold nose.
Then, Don's body dissapeared.

Everyone was frantic. Why? She was standing right there. Finally, she couldn't take it any longer. She reached down and slapped Phig and screamed "I'M RIGHT HERE!"
Phig froze. "Don?"
No one moved. "It's me." she said. But no one heard her.
"You can only make people here you when you're touching them."
"Who are you?"
"I'm the light that decides if you should be given a second chance or not. I decided you should. Change things."
"Wait! Come back!" Don said. But the voice from 'the light' was gone.
Don looked down at her hands. They were the same as always. But she was on another layer of the universe. One where she could only communicate while touching someone.
Don crouched down beside Phig again and put a hand on his shoulder. It didn't pass through him.
Phig could sense it and looked over at his shoulder. "It's really me," Don said and explained the light stuff.
Phig thought 'She's back she's back I love her she's right here,' and somehow Don heard it. She thought back 'You love me?' and could tell that Phig could hear her thoughts, too.
'Yes,' was his crystal clear response.
'I love you too.'
Phig smiled. Don realized everyone was weirdly staring at him.
'Dan looks different.'
'No kidding.'
'You might want to get Dan out of that web and let's get the Daniels out of here so we can explain.'
'How?'
'I got this,' Don walked over to Danny and touched his arm. 'Get Dan out of there; I need to explain.'
Obviously Danny was no stranger to the unnatural and got to work on the potion. He freed Dan and Phig gestured them out of the room.
"Wait! What- where...please..." Grand said.
The three guys never looked back as they sprinted out the door to the Boundary.
*******************************************************************************
"So...yeah. I guess." Phig finished explaining for Dan and Danny in the rock outcropping he and Dan had called home for a year.
They both nodded. "Now, I need an unmasking potion. It's high time I high-tail it out of this Burly body," Danny said, walking over to make a potion.
Dan rolled his eyes. "Oh, by the way, good to see you again, Dan. I mean, the REAL you." Danny added in.
"Right."
"I'm serious! A lot just happened; don't get sarcastic on me."
"Not possible."
Phig smiled sheepishly as Don grabbed his hand and squeezed. Even though he couldn't see her, he looked over to her general direction and beamed.

Author'a Note-
I feel like I did a terrible job of getting all my thoughts on this scene out and into words that make sense. Even then, I didn't do a very good job. I gotta go, but I hope you liked it! Yes, the Danny reveal (even if you know what he looks like already) is coming up!
