Phig woke up with a start on the cold stone floor. He had to pee. BAD. And obviously, there was no bathroom in the rock outcropping, so he had to go outside.
But where was Dan? Phig guessed that he probably went to go be by himself AGAIN. It had been happening a lot lately. Phig didn't know what was going on. He wasn't sure he wanted to.
He was wondering what could possibly result in Dan having to leave while he was peeing (AN: DON'T THINK ABOUT THAT TOO MUCH) when he heard humming. It sounded strangely like Icarus.
OH.
Dan had been leaving because he didn't want Phig to hear that he still sang. Except for that one time with the music playing, Phig hadn't heard him sing since. Dan's voice really was amazing, though. He was just shy, Phig guessed.
It was so obvious he missed his time making music. Phig was sure Danny did, too. But they could go back to making music again later. Right now they had to do something about Arrekaan. And hopefully change it for the better.
After Phig was done peeing he went back to the rock and listened to music again. God, he loved Good Grief. It was so beautiful. And weirdish. But that's what made it beautiful.
Dan came back shortly after it ended and Glowing (The Script) came on. He paused it and stared at Dan.
"What? You know, I don't care. I've come up with a plan," he said, shaking it off.
Phig realized Dan's hair was incredibly flat. He must've forgotten to make the gel potion that morning.
Right when Phig realized that, Dan got to work on the gel potion.
"We need to sneak back in and try to overthrow Grand once and for all," he said incredibly casually as he drank the potion, which made his hair immediately get better.
"Wait...you mean like kill him?"
"Or at least force him to pass the Leadership onto either you or Don."
"Don. Not me. Never me."
"Fine, then Don. It's kind of in her blood anyway," Dan smirks. "This is going to be good."
"When are we going?"
"Tomorrow."
'Oh,' Phig thought.

The video is a little distracting. AND I WANT TO MAKE THIS CLEAR IN CASE YOU WERE CONFUSED FROM ONE OF THE PREVIOUS CHAPTERS. THERE ARE NO ROMANTIC FEELINGS BETWEEN DAN AND DANNY. THEY'RE JUST REALLY GOOD FRIENDS WHO WENT THROUGH CENTURIES TOGETHER AND THEY'VE BEEN THROUGH SO MUCH IT FEELS WEIRD TO NOT BE GOING THROUGH THIS TOGETHER. AS FRIENDS. GLAD THAT'S CLEARED UP NOW.
