Dinner for too many

I pull on my blue jacket and put my phone in my purse. I open the blinds and the snow adds on the sidewalks. I wait in the living room and watch as the snow falls from the big window. A knock at my front door rings. I get up and open the door. A tall guy that looks at lot like Luke stands there. "Uh hello?" I say awkwardly. "are you Luke's girlfriend?" He asks. I nod my head. "I am Jack. One of his older biological brothers" he smiles. "Um okay?" I say with my hand gripping my purse. "Luke was running late from the mall with Calum so I'm picking you and Calums girly friend up" Jack says holding his jacket. I close my door and follow Jack down the halls. We reach the underground parking unit. We get in Jacks white car and drive to Siaras house.

He enter Luke's house and I smell a nice scent making my mouth water. I look around and see lots of people I don't know. Siara walks towards the the coat rack and hangs up her coat. I grab her arm and pull her near me. "Who are all these people?" I ask. She shakes her head. "I have no clue" she adds looking at me. I spot Liz on the crowd and I let her do her thing. I have no clue where Ashton is. Siara and I sit in the mud room on the little couch waiting for Luke and everyone.

The door opens and a blast of snow comes in. I shield myself grabbing a pillow and covering my body with it. Whoever it is closes the door. "Calum!!" Siara squeals running to him. I look up and toss the pillow on the other end of the couch getting ready to go be social th the other people. I turn around and it's just Calum. "Cal, where the fuck is Luke?" I ask.
"I took the highway and Luke took the faster way but it's iced out he should be here in a bit" Calum replies.

I walk into social area pretty much taking up the whole second floor. I look around and everyone is busy. I run up the stairs and I call Luke.
"Hey babe" he says.
"Where are you?" I ask shaking with anxiety.
"I'm almost home is everything okay?" He asks.
"I just don't know anyone here, only Calum and Siara, plus your mom" I say sitting on the carpet in the hallway. "Okay I'll be there soon. I'm so sorry" Luke apologizes.
"It's fine" I say playing with the carpet floor. "Love you" I hear Luke say. "Love you too" Luke hangs up and I stare at my phone screen. I walk down the stairs, into the mud room and open the front door to feel the cold air blasting at my legs through my tights. It sends shivers down my spine. I sit on the front stair and having to move move each time someone goes into their house. I get up and a black car pulls in and I know it's Luke's. I walk over and the snow crunches beneath my boots. Luke runs to me and gives me a huge hug. I snuggle my face in his coat and my heart calms down knowing my anxiety is calming down knowing Luke is here. We stand there just hugging for awhile and someone coughs. "You guys should be coming in its a storm out here" Liz says walking over to us. I let go of Luke's embrace and we link our hands together and walk on their stone path to the party.

We open the door and Luke whispers something into my ear. "I hardly know any of these people" I look at Luke. Someone keeps dinging the glass. I look around and everyone stops. "Hey everybody. The dinner is ready and it's time!" Liz almost yells. Everyone makes their way over to the table and Luke and I get a spot together. Damn. This is a huge ass table. I look around and lots of people I don't know look around also. We all pass around the dishes and put the things we want on our plates.

Time slows by as I sit on the couch with Luke watching people come and go. "Luke" I say looking over at him. "Yes"
"I'm going to be alone for Christmas" I say looking down. "Your dads not coming home is he?" He asks. "No. He met this girl and they are in love. I'm now alone at home probably for forever" I say looking at Luke. "You have me" Luke says quietly. "I'm already 18" Luke says moving over to me. I lay my head on his shoulder and think.

I have no family anymore. I can't go see my brother anymore. My moms dead. And my dad he isn't coming home. I'm now alone. School is now worse. Everyday trying to run from Emma and Crystal so I'm not beat again. Learning to trust Niall and Michael again when I know I shouldn't. Or for better forgiving them. I wonder if I disappeared what would happen. I feel like Liz is my only parent figure now. Liam is too busy now. Calum and Siara are always busy. I only have Luke.

I lay on my bed staring at my ceiling. My tears drip on to my bed spread. The home phone rings. I let it ring and my dads voice plays.
"I am not coming home. Cathy and I are getting married soon. Can you believe it? I'm ready to start my life down here, maybe you can move down here with me. Call us"
Us, us. That as him and I always. Now it's more then just him and I. Am I really being left behind?

I stay in my spot and haven't moved all day. My bedroom door opens. I don't even move. "Carmen?" Luke says walking towards me. He sets something on my nightstand and crawls over me. He lays next to me staring at my eyes. "You've been crying" he says reading my mind. "Why?"
"Im being forgotten. Bullied. And Crystal is saying the truth" I say getting lost in Luke's blue eyes. "Everything Crystal says is true. I'm not skinny like her. She's a two and I'm a 4. She is blonde and I'm plain Walmart brown. She has everyone wanting her. She lost her virginity when she knew it. I didn't. She's the most popular girl in school. She's right. I'll never be able to please anyone. All her friends adore her. My own ex bestfriend is bullying me daily now. My dad isn't coming home anymore. He's getting married in Arizona. I'm being forgotten" i say crying. "You have everything. A parent. Good friends, everyone wants you. You knew who took your virginity. Your perfect" I say as Luke watches me carefully. "I haven't even yet pleased you I'm too scared now. I'm scared your going to leave me if I can't please you Luke. I'm not good enough"
"I don't know who I lost my virginity toi" Luke says staring at me. "I haven't" he confesses. I lay there lost and in shock. "But every girl tries to make a move on you" I say studying the boy in front of me. "I'm waiting. I'm waiting for you. I know something. But I shouldn't tell you know. Carmen. I'm waiting for you that means something to me. I love you Carmen. Your always on my mind. I think about you every second. From every small thing you do. Like how you always seem to be quiet. How your love of books is more then anything. How your a huge tease on me. How you study me like I'm a textbook. How your too scared to speak up. Carmen. I'm not leaving you. I love you and only you" Luke says making my stomach fill with butterflies. I just stare into his eyes, for awhile. He pushes hisself next to me and grabs a blanket. We lay there in complete silence expect for the soft music playing. We just stay there cuddling into each other for a long while.

We lay there naked pleased and tired. "Now neither of us are virgins" Luke says laying next to me. "Wait what?" I say sitting up covering myself. "You've always been a virgin, Michael and Niall never did anything to you. They told me and I made them use a lie detector test. I sit there in utter shock. "Wait that means" I look at Luke. "We lost it to each other" I say scrambling to find my words. I look at Luke and he smiles softly. My stomach flutters with little butterflies. "I know it took you a lot to do that" Luke says cuddling into me. "You really did wait. Didn't you?" I say staring into his eyes. "I waited for my one true lover" Luke smiles at me. He kisses my nose and makes me laugh. We lay there all happy knowing we lost it to the person we should have. Which we did. I cuddle into Luke knowing I pleased him and he pleased me. I really love Luke. More then ever.
