Charlotte's POV

"Mom, why can't I see a picture of my brother?" I questioned, pouting.

"He told me not to show any pictures of him. He said he wants it to be a 'surprise' and plus he haven't seen a picture of you, so it's fair." My mom explained.

"I won't tell him that you showed me." I smiled.

"Still." My mom replied.

"Hey babe! You're phone's ringing!" My dad yelled, running down the stairs with my mom's phone.

"It's him!" My mom squealed, jumping out of her chair.

"Hello?"

"Yes, I haven't showed her a picture of you yet." My mom said, rolling her eyes.

"For her birthday?"

"Okay."

"She probably would want to." My mom replied, stifling a laugh.

"Alright. I love you too." She smiled.

"Was that my brother?" I asked.

She nodded, making her coffee.

"Can I at least know his name?" I asked.

"Nope." My mom answered.

"You paid Leroy not to tell me anything."

"I know." She replied.

"Ugh mom." I whined.

"Charlotte, he really wants it to be a surprise okay? He'll be picking you up at the airport a week from today. So until then, I don't want to hear anymore questions about him. Got it?" She said.

"Yeah, got it." I answered.

I wasn't sure if I was more happy or nervous about seeing him. I really want to know him and stuff, it's just what if he doesn't like me? Or what if we don't get along? I would hate it if he was the kind of brother that would tease me about the things I'm insecure about and not know that it hurts me.

Tomorrow morning I was leaving for the airport. My bags were already packed, Leroy and mom helped me packed all my stuff.

"Bestie! I'm gonna miss you so much!" Leroy pouted, fake sobbing.

"I'll miss you too, bestie." I answered, taking him for a hug.

"Why do you have to go?" He questioned, hugging me tighter.

"My brother wants to see me." I stifled a laugh.

"Ugh! Just tell Michae- ah shit." Leroy said.

"Did you just say Michael?"

"No? What are you talking about?"

"Stop lying." I glared at him.

"I- um.. That's my boyfriend's name." Leroy hesitantly replied.

"You never told me!" I exclaimed. "I knew you were keeping a secret from me!"

"Yeah." Leroy faked a smile.

"Why can't you come here tomorrow?" I asked.

"It's my dad's birthday."
