Allie's P.O.V.

As soon as I got home, I got started on all my homework. An hour later I went to the kitchen to get a snack and found my Dad cooking. "Tonight we are going to have a meal with the guards in a thanks." he announced. "With the guards? Are you sure?" I asked uneasily. He turned to me giving me a strange look. "Yes daughter." "I am Allie." "Yes Allie we are inviting the guards to a meal. If you have a problem with that, let me know." "Nope, no problem." I went back to my room with a family size bag of red Doritos. I sat down, opened the chips, and continued my homework while eating chips. "Are you planning on eating all of that?" a voice said out of nowhere. I leapt 5 feet in the air and spun around in attack mode before realizing that it was Kyle. "Sorry, didn't meant to scare you. You should consider paying attention more though, I have been laying on your bed since you came in with the chips and you didn't so much as glance my way. I could have been a killer." "So sorry I didn't realize how much attention you need. Nice killer excuse but I have a guard for that right now so I think I'm good." "You have another guard and you didn't tell me? I feel so... so betrayed. You cheated on me. "Ya this guard seems to be really good at his job, come to think of it he looks a lot like you." "Really. Well then since he is guarding you, you feel safe right?" "Yes I feel safe but the only thing is that this guard well... I don't know why but it bothers me that he is doing it because its what he has to do not what he wants to actually do. He wouldn't spend all his time with her watching her if he didn't have to." "He definitely wants to." I got to stop this. "I have so much homework to do, I don't think we have time to hang out." I said walking to my desk. "Well talk to me while you do your homework then." "Ok but one question, what kind of super natural are you?" "You really want to know?" "Yes, please enlighten me. I am intrigued." "I am an alpha were wolf." I gasped. He has a soul mate too then. I am not certain that Keegan is my soul mate and this feels so much more right even though I haven't known him for even a day. "Is something wrong?" he asked. "No- I sorry I was- I am fine." "Be honest with me please, I hate lying." "So have you met your soul mate yet?" I asked him. "I don't know." he answered sounding very far away. Should I read his thoughts? No. Do I want to know what he means by I don't know? Very much. I heard a knock on the door. "Allie, it's me, your mother. Open up." I looked at Kyle horrified. Guard or not she will be so angry if she finds a boy in here. He jumped up and hid some where while I opened the door. "Yes." "Uh can I come in please?" "Sure." I opened the door and walked over to my desk pretending to be busy with homework. "So I was wondering what's going on with Jackie." "What do you mean?" "Since you guys got back, she seems distant and hurt." "Well Noah is grounded from her and since they are soul mates and all, mated for life they are both sad because they can't see each other. Not even at school because his parents called all the teachers and told them to keep them away from each other." "Wow, why is he grounded from her?" "Because she was the reason he was gone so long. Sorry but I am really busy can I please get back to all this make up work? I am going to be up till 1 am doing this." "Sure. You get back to your homework, have fun." I snorted and waited for her to leave. As soon as she was out the door I stood up and opened the closet door. "You can come out now." I half whispered, "Actually I was in your shower curtain, nice try though." he smirked. "So I met Jackie today, your mom said she was hurt?" "You met her? When? She actually met her soul mate and his parents are separating him." When I said soul mate I saw the desire pooling in Kyle's eyes. Odd. "I met her in the hallway, she ran into me. How does she know they are soul mates?" he asked. "Let me ask her." He nodded and I went back to my desk to work on homework while talking to him and also asking Jackie. "I thought you were going to ask Jackie." "Oh right, I was just about to ask her. We are mind linked so I can ask her while talking to you and doing homework." "Ok over achiever." I rolled my eyes. "Fine I don't want to be an over achiever so I guess I won't ask her." "Oh no, over achievers are great, in fact they are amazing." I smirked "That's what I like to hear." 'Jackie, how do you know for sure that you and Noah are soul mates. How did you find out?' 'When we first met, I felt this energy run through me like nervousness but different then the physical way to tell is after talking for awhile, you will just know. It took us about 1 or 2 days of just knowing. Why?' 'I guess that means Keegan and I aren't meant to be. Kyle wanted me to ask you because you found yours.' 'Kyle's here?' 'Ya.' I put the wall up between us. I felt that energy when I first looked at Kyle. This can't be right, I'm just crazy. "So Kyle she said an energy runs through you almost like nervousness but there's something different about it and the physical way to tell is that you just know after talking for awhile. She said it took her and Noah 1 to 2 days to just know.' He didn't say anything so I turned to look at him. He was gazing at me with a dreamy like state and a smile on his face and yet I could tell he was looking at me. I won't let this happen, I'm still dating Keegan. I swiveled around in my chair and buried myself in my homework.  

"SUPPER IS READY COME DOWN!" my mom called. Kyle left some time when I was doing my homework so I was alone. I walked to the kitchen and sat down next to Jackie. "So where are the guards?" I asked. "Your father is discussing some things with them and doing security talk." my mom said rolling her eyes. I smiled in relief and began grabbing food. "What are you doing? We are going to wait for them." my mom said. "But I'm hungry." I complained. Kyle, Dad, and the other guard walked in just then, my Dad was laughing at something Kyle had said. My face flushed when Kyle caught me looking in his brown eyes and I quickly dropped my head to study my plate. "Girls, these are your guards. Jackie this is Jordan your guard. Allie this is your guard Kyle. Boys take a seat." he commanded. Kyle jumped to sit next to me and gave me a smirk. I mirrored his expression and turned to Jackie trying to pretend I was to busy talking to Jackie to even have time to look at him.  

Once we all ate and were full my Dad asked "Boys, tell Allie and Jackie about yourselves." "My name is Jordan, I am 26. I am from California and I am a Jaylocker. Jaylockers have fangs like a vampire super senses like them the only difference is that we are like a monkey, climbing, hanging, stuff like that and on a full moon transform into a bird." "My name is Kyle Petrov, most of you already know that," he said looking straight at me, " I am 16 and I am from London and I am a alpha were wolf." "Kyle, do you live with your parents?" my mom asked. "No actually my parents died when I was young. I live in an apartment down town." "I'm sorry about your parents." my mom sympathized. "No worries." he said quickly. "Well I need to head out, thank you for dinner." Jordan commented. "You're welcome, have a nice night. Kyle what about you?" "Allie and I have a project to work on. Is that okay with you guys?" "We d- Ohh right the um history project." I said. I could feel Kyle mentally face palming. "Sure go ahead." my Dad replied. We got up from our seats and headed up to my room."You are a horrible improviser." he chuckled. "Improviser? What do you mean? We have a history project to work on." I smirked. "Well we better get started on it." he said softly. Stepping closer, he leaned in and closed his eyes. I took a step back and he opened his eyes. "Kyle, we aren't like that. I have barely known you one day and kissing you would cause me to be cheating on someone." "Right.Sorry." he muttered. I looked down at my shoes and bit my lip but when I looked back up the window was open and Kyle was gone.
