Allie's P.O.V.

I know what I have to do. I grimaced at the thought have breaking Keegan's heart, he's my best friend. I opened my phone and dialed Ellie's number. "Hey Allie!" she exclaimed. "I have something important I am about to do I just thought I should tell you because Keegan is our best friend.." I trailed off. She gasped. "You aren't breaking up with him!! Please tell me after all those years of crushing on him and him crushing on you and both of you coming to me to obsess about one another that you are just going to break up with him!" I sighed. "I am sorry but it is a pointless relationship." I winced. It wasn't pointless I just wasn't in love with him anymore, he was just a friend. "This is really going to hurt him." she whispered. "I know, but I need to do this now. It's better now than later." "Well I need to get ready for my date with Alec, I need to go." she sniffed. "Have fun." I said in a sad tone. I walked to Keegan's house, dreading every step. I knocked on the door and immediately his mom opened the door. "Hello, Allie good to see you!" she said cheerfully. She walked to the kitchen and called out "Keegan will be more than happy to see you, go on up stairs." Not when he finds out what I am here for. "Ok thanks."  I slowly walked up each step. Once I got to his room I hesitantly knocked on the door. "Come in!" he called out. I slowly opened the door, peeking in. Every instinct told me to run or to don't do this. When he saw it was me, he jumped out of the chair he was in and came to greet me. "Hey Allie, I am so glad you came over. I want to show you something." he exclaimed excitedly. O gosh, how am I going to do this? I just need to break it to him, let it sink in, and be there for him. When he saw the pained expression on my face he asked "What's wrong?" "I- uh- we need to talk?" I squeaked out more of a question. "Ok.. what's up?" he asked nervously. "Lets um lets sit down ok?" I said faintly. He nodded and backed onto the bed while I sat in the chair. If I get to close I might not say what I need to say. "I love you as a friend but I-" he cut me off. "Save the rest, it's okay you don't need to say it." he said trying not to choke on tears. "Keegan I am sorry, I still want to at least be your friend." "We can be friends eventually, I just need some time to think okay?" I nodded and bit my lip. "I am here for you, Ellie, and Jackie, Noah, Nathan, and all of us we are here for you." "Thanks, I need time to think though. I need to be away from you guys for awhile." I nodded. "I understand." I whispered. "Y-you should probably go." he choked out. I nodded, trying not to cry and rushed out of his room and carefully closing his door. I ran down the stairs and almost made it out the door without his mom catching me "That was fast. Come back anytime." I nodded and ran out the door. The tears broke like a dam as soon as I closed the door. I stumbled down the driveway and found Jackie sitting in the car, waiting for me. "I thought you might need a ride." she said sympathetically. She opened the door for me and I got in. I sobbed loudly "He was s-so excited wh-when I came by b-but when I broke up wi-with him he he was trying not t-to cry. I h-hurt him!" I blubbered. I looked over at Jackie and saw that she had tears streaming down her cheeks. "Do you want to go home or somewhere else?" she quietly asked. When I didn't reply, she pulled off the curb and started driving but I didn't pay attention to where she was going. I didn't make a mistake. I didn't love the guy who I was dating anymore and he was falling harder and harder every day. I needed to end it as soon as possible. I was crying because I broke one of my best friends heart but I made no mistake. No mistake. No mistake. I repeated that over and over till I realized that Jackie had stopped the car. "Let's go." she commanded. "In public? I want to hide in a corner and cry not be around people." "Trust me." she said looking in my eyes. She got out of the car and waited on the side walk for me, knowing how stubborn she was and how long she would wait there I got out of the car, I numbly got out of the car and stumbled over to her. I looked to see where we were at and realized that we were at Walmart. Why in the world are we going grocery shopping right after I broke up with my best friend! I said nothing and instead followed her inside and to the ice cream. I laughed a little when I realized what she was doing. "Pick some flavors. What ever you want then we can go home and watch Netflix and eat ice cream and popcorn and anything else you want." I grabbed chocolate, vanilla, and cookies and cream. Then I got nesquick power since Jackie and I both love to pour it over our ice cream. I smiled and headed over to the self check out with Jackie following me.
