~~Atemu's POV~~

I woke up early. Which is strange cause normally Seto has to come and wake me up. I remembered that I had Yukiko sleep in the other room.

I walked in to check on her but was surprise to see that she was already gone. 'Oh yeah, she has work' I frowned. I wanted to teacher her a little more this morning but I guess I'll just have to wait until she comes back.

I walked back into my room and heard a knock on the door. "Pharaoh, you have another war meeting in a couple minutes."

I groaned "Okay but inform my council that I'll be eating my dinner in my room today... and from now on."

"As you wish."

I smiled. Now I can see Yukiko every day! Why am I so happy?

I sighed and stretched my limbs. 'Another long day of being me.'

~~Yugi's POV~~

Okay... I can't find Joey... dammit Joey where are you? I was dusting some vases in the treasure room. There was gold and priceless jewels everywhere.. along with about a hundred guards.

"Stop daydreaming and get back to work!" a guard yelled and cracked a whip at another slave. I felt my blood boil. This is the main reason why I'm fighting. I can't forget that. I felt myself get angry and accidentally broke a vase.

Almost immediately a guard grabbed my neck "Your gonna regret that." he growled and dragged me away. I struggled and felt tears go down my face. Memories of this happening to me as a kid flashed in my head.

"Stop struggling runt." the guard grunted and picked up the pace. I closed my eyes more and more tears went down my face. I knew what was gonna happen.

"Hey! You, stop!" I opened my eyes and saw... the Pharaoh?

"Let her go!" he commanded.

"But, your majesty... she broke one of the up most expensive vases." the guard argued.

"And we have a hundred more, just let her go and go back to your post!"

The guard bowed his head and I was dropped to the floor. I didn't know what to do. I was shaking and crying uncontrollably. I tried to stop but memories that I worked so hard to forget came back, all my nightmares too.

I felt warm arms wrap around me. "It's okay... your gonna be just fine..." I sniffed and looked up. The Pharaoh was hugging me and... comforting me.

I felt myself calm down and my tears slowly stop. He wiped them away "Better?" he asked.

I gulped and nodded. He smiled warmly "Good... I have to go to a meeting." he got up and walked away. When he was gone I felt myself fall to my knees.

Why is he so... nice to me. I don't understand, he's not suppose to be nice! I'm his enemy. I have to destroy him!

...how am I going to destroy him.

~~Joey's POV~~

I woke up to a.. soft bed. Wait a minute. Why am I on a soft... I opened my eyes and saw the sleeping face of Seto.

I screamed and jumped off the bed. I felt my chest and was relieved when my fake breasts where still there. 'Okay, he still thinks your a girl.' I sighed in relief.

"Why did I wake up in his bed?" I muttered.

"You fell asleep under the tree so I brought you back here." My head snapped up to the now awake Seto.

"Man you scream loud." he said as he rubbed his ears.

I didn't know what to say. I can't believe I slept in the same bed with another man. I felt my cheeks heat up.

Seto got up "What time is it?" he looked out the window and saw that the sun was high in the sky.

"Shit! I'm late!" he ran to his clothes and started the change.

"You do realize I'm still here." I crossed my arms.

"And you realize that your staring."

I quickly looked the other way and covered my face. "Well I'm going to be going now." I made my way to the door.

"Remember our sword fighting match later today!" he said as I exited his room.

I shut the door and leaned on the wall. 'God my face is so red.'

What would Yugi think? Shit! Yugi!

He's probably worried sick about me!

~~Yugi's POV~~

I'm eating my midday meal and still no sign of Joey. Ra, I hope he didn't do anything stupid to blow his cover.

"Oh, Yugi. There you are!" I looked up and saw him sit down next to me.

"Where were you?"

"Look, I'm sorry. Seto took me back to his room and-"

"WHAT!" I screamed and jumped out of my chair. The whole room of slaves eating went silent and stared at me for a couple seconds. I looked around at everyone and immediately sat back down. It wasn't long before everyone just started talking like normal.

"Look, nothing happened. Seto and I got into a sword fight and-"

"Joey! We are suppose to be blending in!"

"I'm trying but Seto keeps on wanting to do things with me and I find him very distracting and annoying."

I smiled "This is good."

Joey looked at me shocked "huh?"

"Look, the plan is simple. I befriend the Pharaoh and you befriend Seto. Once we get close enough to them, we get them to tell us the information we need." I explained.

"So we manipulate them and get them to tell us themselves." he said slowly.

I nodded. "It's the only plan I have that doesn't have us blow our cover."

he looked nervous "I don't know about this Yugi."

"Trust me Joey, this is going to work. The Pharaoh is teaching me how to read and-"

"Woah, woah woah Wait, when did this happen?!" Joey's eyes widened.

"Easy, I told the Pharaoh I didn't know how to read and he offered to teach me."

"Yeah, but why?"

I shrugged "I don't know, but if I do learn how to read I can read all those scrolls on his desk. That's our back up plan in case they don't tell us anything themselves."

"Okay. Anything else?"

"Remember, we have to report back to the village before the month ends. If we don't them Jayden will probably start attacking the palace."

"Why? He doesn't have that kind of authority. Only you do."

I rested my head in my hands "I told Jayden that if we didn't come back within a month that we were probably dead and we left him in charge and knowing him, he would probably attack the palace head on."

"Why did you leave him in charge again?" Joey leaned back in his chair and rested his arms above his hand.

"Well, my original plan was to have you in charge but you decided to come with me and he was my last option because he knows a couple of good strategies."

"Well then. Lets not die, cause I don't trust my sister's life in his hands."

I smiled "I don't plan that we will die."
