Naomi~
I woke up at 3 in the morning and realized that Ashton was with me.
He was awake, playing on his phone while, I'm guessing, he was waiting for me to wake up. When he saw that I was awake he laid his head on his favorite spot, my stomach. I ran my hands through his hair. Just an instinct I guess. He eventually fell asleep on me. I was too tired so I fell asleep too.
*two hours later*
The sound of crying had woke me up again. Whoever is crying is lucky that my parents stayed at my uncle's house tonight. (I totally forgot my uncle lived in Australia too.) Anyway I got up, made sure Ashton was still asleep, and went downstairs to see what the crying was. It was Calum, in his sleep. I went over to the couch and sat next to him.
"Cal." I whispered trying to get him to wake up and stop crying. I shook him for a few seconds and he finally woke up.
"What's the matter?" I asked him. He didn't say anything. He just hugged me and cried into my shoulder. I just held him there. I felt terrible. After a while he calmed down and moved from my shoulder, then he kissed me with so much passion. I pushed him off. "I'm sorry, I just... I'm sorry." He whispered. Without thinking I grabbed him and kissed him again. I felt him smile through the kiss.
"Wait Cal this is wrong. I love Ashton." I said moving back.
"I know."
"This goes to no one. Okay?"
"Okay, but Nay I have a confession to make."
"Go ahead Cal."
"I have loved you since I first laid eyes on you. It kills me to see you and Ashton all couply and shit. But don't get me wrong Ash deserves you. I don't. He's been through a lot more" He still had tears streaming down his face. I cried with him, but I knew there was something else he wasn't telling me about Ash.
"That's why you look upset when you're around me and Ash?" I questioned him with random tears filling my eyes
"yeah. It hurts." He was already crying at this point.
"I'm so sorry. If I had known-"
"no no, you and Ashton were made for each other. It's okay. I wouldn't have had a chance anyways. I mean look at you. You're an angel and I'm just this...thing." He said looking down.
"No Calum, you're perfect in your own ways. Everyone is. You mean as much to me as Ashton does. Same goes to the others."
"Nay why are you crying? You're in love remember?"
" I don't know Cal. I guess seeing you cry hurts me."
"I'm sorry Nay I just really really love you."
"I love you too Cal. Now go back to sleep its too early in the morning to be awake."
Did I really mean it? I think so. Calum, in the many many months that I have known him, has always been my best friend. I mean they are all my best friends but he's been a little more special to me. I really need to sleep this out I feel like I'm going crazy.
I kissed Calum on his forehead. I did the same to the sleeping lion the other sofa,Luke, and then I went and laid next to my curly headed sleeping beauty and went back to sleep.
Ashton~
When I woke up, Naomi had left my side. I heard her an Emily downstairs so I got up from her bed and looked across the hall and saw that Michael was spread eagle across Emily's bed. I'm guessing that's why she went downstairs.
Naomi was in the kitchen making tea, Emily was sitting on the couch with Calum and Luke watching TV. Naomi turned and her face lit up when she saw me. It was like she saw me for the first time.
"Good morning" she said, embracing me in a hug
"morning." I felt like I was grinning like an idiot. "Is it Sunday?"
"yeah why?"
"just wondering."
" alright well I'm gonna get a shower real fast then I'll be right back down, okay?"
" okay love" I kissed her then she went upstairs.
I walked over to the couch and sat next to Luke. We were watching Spongebob. Calum loves Spongebob but he wasn't even paying attention; he was just looking down at the floor.
"Luke," I whispered "what's up with Cal?"
" I have no clue," he answered "he's been moping all morning and when I asked him he said to leave it alone so I did."
"hmm poor kid." I got up to go upstairs to wake up Michael
"Mike, wake up" I slightly shook him
"WHA!" he shouted and jumped up. "ya can't do that shit to me dude."
"wake you up?' I laughed
" you were planning a sneak attack on me mate." he laughed along with me. We both headed back downstairs. Emily's face lit up when she saw Michael. I went and sat next to Luke.
"Hey cal." I said hoping he would say something
"hi ash" He didn't look up or anything.
"Cal Can I talk to you?"
"Sure. I guess." I got up and held out my hand for him to help him up. I then took him outside.
"Okay mate, what's wrong?" I rose an eyebrow.
"Nothing at all. It's just one of those weird moods, y'know?" He lied
"Bullshit. Something is wrong and we both know it."
"Ashton I promise I'm okay." He managed a small grin
" That's what I used to say when I was lying Cal. And you know where it got me," A tear came to my eye. "I don't want that to happen to you."
"Ashton I swear to you, I'll be okay." he hugged me and went back inside. I shrugged and went back inside too. Calum seemed to be in a better mood. I knew my talk had done some good.
