Chapter 6: Bunking detention

Two days until end of school week, everything was going wrong, all the children in my year are gossipers, I was known as 'the girl who throw tomato sauce on Bella.' Really, I had a actual name Skylar. I still didn't have the uniform for the school either. Meaning today I'm going to spend a whole hour with a teacher after school. But on the other side I made great friends while enemies, but I was glad I made friends like Natalie and Nicole.

Walking down the road I could see the clouds turning grey and felt a drop of rain on my hand. I didn't have an umbrella with me and I was wearing ripped shoes, which means by the time I'm in school I will be all wet.

After the long rainy walk I entered my classroom seeing that the deputy headteacher standing there shouting at Alex. I stood by the door not knowing what to do. I could see Natalie and Nicole looking at me like I'm dead. Yes, of course I was going to be dead, first of all I didn't have my uniform and secondly I was late to class. I had no idea why Alex was getting shouts but you can tell by his face he didn't bother at all. From the corner of my eye I could see Jacob trying to hold his laugh by covering his mouth with his hand.

Mrs Beaconsfield the deputy head screamed at Alex "After school come to my office, you have an one hour detention for entire week after school and your parents will get a phone call home for your ridiculous behaviour."

She turned around facing me. She raised her eyebrows. She had dark brown hair in a bun, brown eyes and was taller then me, she seemed in her mid thirties.

"Skylar, the new girl" Ms Wright informs Mrs Beaconsfield.

I gave a tight smile knowing that whatever she is going to say will be sour. She looked at me top to bottom making me shiver.

"Young Lady, where is your uniform?" She had such a low creepy voice which could scare anyone, except Alex.

"Um... I-I don't have a uniform." I looked down at my hands and started fiddling around with my jumper's sleeve. I normally do that when I feel nervous.

"It's been nearly a week of school and you haven't got the right clothing for this school, this just shows me how unorganised and careless person you are!"

Ouch.

"I will surely-" Mrs Beaconsfield interrupted me by saying.

"After school detention for an hour and don't be late or I will double the detention."

I wouldn't mind if the detention was tomorrow or any other day, but not today. Today I had to go to see my parents graves. Today was my dad's birthday and I was going to go to wish him. I remember when we celebrated his birthday last year, we gave him a surprise party which my mum and I had organised. It was a great memory of mine, we took so many images, I had one image on me in my wallet. Three of us were smiling, I wish I could hug him tell him 'happy birthday'.

I nodded at Mrs Beaconsfield and went to sat on my seat next to Jacob.

"You know what?" Jacob asked.

I look up at him and asked "What?"

"Your going to make my school life much better." He smiled sticking his white straight teeth out.

"I'm glad I will at least make someone's life better if I can't make mine." I reply with a tiring voice and I hear him chuckle.

Lunch time arrived after what it felt like years. Natalie and Nicole were talking about what Alex did that made him get into so much trouble.

"You do know he is one of the most popular boy." Natalie asked.
