"Hurry up Skylar!" Grandma screams from downstairs.

"Coming!" I have no idea what to wear for dinner, I have my closet open and I'm standing there staring at my messy cloths. All my cloths are in a mess, nothing is in the right place. I dig in my closet and throw all my cloths out when I find my black dress that I wore on my parent's funeral. I kept it right behind my closet so that I don't remember that awful day when I understood I was left alone. Grandma and my friends think that I've fully moved on with my life and left the past to where it belongs but I know somewhere in me I still don't believe that my life changed in seconds. I took a hanger out at hanged my funeral dress on the railing.

After taking all my cloths out from my closet onto the bed. I started digging through the pile of cloths where I found a full armed black blouse and a formal blue trousers. I put my hair into a messy side plait and wore my black snickers. I hate wearing belle shoes or even worse heels, it never suited me.

"Skylar, if you don't come downstairs in a two minutes, I'm going to make you do all the dishes after the guests are gone!" I hear grandma scream from downstairs.

"I'm coming!" The last thing I want to do end of the day, is do the dishes.

We started making dinner, apparently the guests changed the plan of coming for lunch because they had a important business deal to make and now want to come in the evening, I was happy that they won't come for lunch because I had a whole load of homework to do.

**********

It's now five in the evening and I've finished all my coursework left to do. I started putting plates on the dining table in the kitchen, when I hear the door bell. For some reason I was scared because the guest apparently knew my mum and dad very well.

"Skylar, can you open the door, while I do the final touches." I went to the door and opened it and saw a very posh couple standing right front of me. The man was very tall, had brown hair and green eyes covered with his square glasses. He wore a grey suit with a light blue shirt underneath, while the lady had brown hair which was up to her shoulders but she had brown eyes and was wearing a peach tight dress which reached up to her knees with peach heels.

"Hello sweetie!" The woman screamed while hugging me tightly as she can.

After she let go, I could finally breath. I didn't know her at all, but for some reason she knew me. I finally spoke up.

"Hello, I'm Skylar." I introduce myself to them.

"It's nice meeting you Skylar." The man spoke in a deep voice, he seemed like a person that you should try to stay away from.

"Please come in." I gave a smile while letting them in. I closed the door behind and realised that they were already gone to the kitchen, I bet they came here before. I went in the kitchen and saw them greeting grandma.

"Skylar, this is your parent's close friends, your parents and these two all went to the same high school." Grandma introduced them.

"Silly me, I forgot to introduce us." The woman spoke.

"This is my husband Chris and I'm Lauren." I replied with a smile.

"It's nice meeting both of you."

"Come on, take a seat people." I hear grandma say while taking a seat on the chair. I decided to take a seat next to grandma, while Chris and Lauren took a seat opposite us.

We started to eat in silence, I was trying my best to eat with manners front of the posh couple but crumbles were keep on falling on me while I was eating. I started wiping the crumbles from my blouse, I hear a chuckle. I look up and see Lauren laughing. I bet my cheek were bright red of embarrassment like a tomato.
