Chapter 12: New Routine

I heard something ringing right next to my hear. Ugh. It was my alarm on my phone, I had an old typical Nokia phone. I switched off the alarm and read the time on my phone it was 7:15am. I'm so late for school for sure today, plus it's an fifteen minutes extra time to walk from Stevenson's house to school.

It felt weird getting up in a different environment, for a minute I thought I was back home. I got up and ran to the bathroom as fast as I can, I took an quick bath and brushed my teeth. I didn't bother to comb my hair and put my uniform on. Luckily I washed my uniform yesterday also had spare tights as my previous tights had massive holes from yesterday. I packed my bags with all the books needed, most of my stuff was in my locker at school.

I opened the door and bumped into something, I took a step back and looked up to see Alex. What was he doing here? He stared at me for a good minute or so and started laughing. I've never seen him laugh in my entire time knowing him, he just kept on laughing.

"What is it Alex?" But he just kept laughing. I looked up at him and notice that his eyes turn bright and light green when he is happy, but when he is back to normal, meaning when he's all grumpy and rude his eyes are dark green and a mixture of grey.

"Y-your hair." He said while still laughing.

"What about my hair?"

"Look in the mirror." I went in the bathroom and saw how I looked. Oh My God! I was about to go to school like this.

Alex walked up to my bathroom door, "You look like a witch."

How dare he call me a witch. I quickly sorted my hair out with a comb while he was standing next to the bathroom door laughing. I stared at him trying to give him cuts. "You monster." I whispered before getting out from the room.

"I heard that!" I hear him say from my room while I was climbing down the stairs.

"Good!" I reply back.

I went downstairs and saw Lauren putting food on the table.

"Good morning Skylar."

"Good morning Lauren."

I grabbed my coat from the coat hanger and was about to put my shoes on. "Skylar before you go you need to eat breakfast." Lauren demands.

"I'm not hungry and I'm late for school."

"I'm not listening to your excuse Skylar, now come and eat your breakfast." I quickly went to the dining table and saw she had pancakes made. I sat down on a chair and took an pancake with chocolate spread on top. I started eating when I heard a chair move right next to me. It was one and only the monster. He took an pancake and started eating himself.

I pour a glass of water for myself and started drinking it.

"You do know water is harmful for witches right?" Alex whispered to me. I'm so going to kill him today.

"I'm not a witch." I whispered back.

"I didn't say you were one." Ugh!

I got up from my chair and was about to leave when Lauren called me.

"Sweety why don't you go by car with Alex." No way am I going with Alex.

"No." Alex and I said together.

"I'm fine going by walk." I replied back to Lauren while giving cuts to Alex.

"Well you don't have another choice or you would end up being late." Lauren argues. "You will have to go with Alexander, and this is final." She demands.

I sat back down on the table and waited until Alex was finished with his food. When he was finished we got up and went outside and saw one of the driver waiting for us. We both sat at the back and looked at the other way from each other. I can't stand him at all. We were nearly there to school when the car was stopped by Alex.
