The son of Kulzak

I scramble backwards, away from Laurence. He gets up and goes into his Shadow Knight form, which I had seen him do before in battle.

I pull out my sword but I don't swing. I can't hurt him, I just can't!

"Laurence, calm down. What's wrong?" I ask cautiously, my free hand up, ready to block a punch. His head shakes frantically but he still advances.

"No, I can't- yes you can," Laurence's voice suddenly gets scratchy, then switches back to normal. "No! I won't!" He drops to his knees and tears steam down his face. He returns to his human form, and I notice that his hands are turning green.

"You found it. Didn't you? Already?" I stare at him, and he nods.

"It was right there where I appeared. It was bright green! The whispers in my head are overwhelming!" I sigh and bite my lip.

"You have it a bit worse than I did. Maybe your father is Kulzak,"(A/N Sorry if I spelled that wrong!)

"Huh?"

"Kulzak. I think Gems mentioned him. I don't remember who Evi's father is."

"Who's Evi?"

"Gems' fiancé. They tried to open the door to ruins where the sword is without you and I and it froze Evi." Laurence nods. He looks at his fingers and gasps.

"I was hoping for like, green hair or something, but green hands will do. I can wear gloves that show my fingers, and my fingers would be all green and the gloves could be black." I chuckle.

"Wow Laurence, wow."

"Hey! I'm making the situation better!" I laugh.

"We should go. I need to write a letter to Gems. I heard Logan was sending out letters today so we should go soon,"

"Let's go. But first," Laurence comes closer to me and kisses me. I kiss back, and put my arms around his neck. I pull back after a minute and smile at him.

"Hey Logan. How are you doing?" I smile at Logan as I approach his merchant stand. Logan laughs as I grab a book to write my letter in.

"Just fine. You?" The year long war, and having to leave Phoenix Drop really changed Logan. He isn't as sarcastic and rude as he was before.

"I'm well. I need to send a letter to Gems." I reply.

"Glad you're here, I was about to send out my crow." I smile and write my letter.

Gems,
       Laurence already found his way into Kulzak's dimension! He said the relic was waiting for him and he's hearing lots of whispers. I think he needs a day or two to recover. We'll see you soon.

I look up at Logan and hand him the signed letter. I walk away to check on Laurence. I told him to see how Brendon is doing. I walk into Brendon's home and see them talking.

"Hey guys." I say, closing the door behind me.

"How are you doing Lady Aphmau?" Brendon replies.

"Just fine. You?" I state.

"Great. Have seat." Brendon gestures to a seat next to Laurence. "Me and Laurence were just talking about Nicole." I sit down and nod.

"Her and Dante started dating a little before the war, and less than a month later Nicole had to leave for Scaleswind." I say.

"Oh yea, I remember that. 2 of her fathers guards delivered the news that her father died in his sleep, and she needed to step up." Laurence says.

"That's sounds sad." Brendon replies. "I was too injured to stay during the war so I was sent on Katelyn's boat."

"Yea. They weren't in a very serious relationship so they were fine. As I'm sure you've heard, we had a small gathering for Dante and Kawaii-Chan's wedding the week before the end of the war. It was a short period of time that we weren't attacked during, so they were able to be married." I say.

"Yes. Sounds great." Brendon nods and smiles. I smiles back and nod at Laurence.

"We need to go. I should probably make my rounds and Laurence needs to rest." I smile again.

"I don't-" I playfully stomp on Laurence's foot under the table and holds in a cry.

"Yes you do. Bye Brendon, see you later!"
