Laurine's P.O.V

Getting up for school on Monday is a difficult task. Hey at least it's nearly Christmas.
Ciara runs in and grabs my hand. She's not a morning person. Like ever.
Ugh it must be snowing again.
She grins at me. "Guess what!"
"What?" I yawn, still groggy.

"Look outside."
She gets ridiculously excited about this.
"Mm okay give me two minutes to get dressed and stuff before I pull up the blind."
Ciara sighs in exasperation and stands outside my door, tapping her foot impatiently as I get ready. I make her wait a bit longer as I brush my teeth and fix my hair.
I'll have to get breakfast at school.
"Can I come in?"
I laugh. "You're too chirpy this morning."
She bursts through the door and pulls me to the window. I look down fully expecting the blanket of white that hurts my eyes. And then I glance down.
The peaceful white blanket is interrupted by vibrant red roses.
I try to read what they seem to spell out "Be Mine?"
Cian grins up at me as I open my window.
"I wanna see ROSES fall like SNOW." He sings.
I giggle.

I can't believe he's done this for me. I sprint downstairs taking them two at a time as Ciara continues to squeal about how romantic this is.
I lunge myself forward into his arms and he picks me up.
"Yes." I nod.
He pulls me close and kisses me gently before letting me jump down.
I pick up the rose that was used as the dot above the 'i" and smile at it for too long.
He kisses the top of my head.

"So can I call you my girlfriend now?"
I giggle at how sweet the words sound coming from his mouth.
"I think you can."
He grins in contentment.
"I brought hot chocolate!" He remembers grabbing it from the wall where he left it.
I take the warm cup in my hands gratefully and take a sip as I look up into his eyes.
How can anyone be so perfect?

Ciara comes out the door and grins at me but she keeps walking.
"Ciara walk with us!" Cian protests.
"And third wheel?" She smirks.
I giggle. "Please Ciara?"
She sighs and comes back, still beaming. "Does this mean solo dates now Cian? No more hanging as a group."
He shakes his head. "Hey we can do both!"
I rush back in the house to get my bag. I grab my phone and take a photo of the perfect flowers so flawlessly arranged. Cian pulls me in for a selfie as he kisses my cheek. Ciara takes out her phone and takes a photo of us taking our selfie. I giggle.

"Let's go then." Ciara grins.
Her phone starts to ring.
"Hello? The radio? No I'm outside. What? No way! Yes! Ahhh fun."
She hangs up the phone.
"That was Dayl. Schools cancelled coz..." And she gestures around her admiring the snow.
Cian grins at me.
"So how's about one of those solo dates today then?"
I feel my smile widen. I must look like a fool grinning at nothing.
"To?"
Cian shrugs.
"Wherever we can get to in heavy snowfall." I laugh. The spontaneous nature of these lads is exciting.
I like this constant unthinking fun.
"Sounds good."
