Laurine's P.O.V
I think I speak for both me and Ciara in saying it was very nice to wake up knowing it's Saturday. The perks of starting school midweek.
The doorbell rings and Ciara gets up to answer it, in no rush this morning.
"'Ello 'ello 'ello." It's Dean. I glance out to see Ciara hug him.
"Hey. What are you doing?"
Dean shrugs walking in past her."Hey Lau. I've no tea bags!" He says turning to Ciara.
She shakes her head. "I hate tea."
Dean's face reflects mock horror.
"You!" He says scooping her into his arms. "Are not a proper Irish person."
I shake my head tutting at her.
"They're in the press up there." She tells him pulling away.
"So..." He says turning to me.
"I heard about your little kiss then." Ciara turns to me and gasps.
I haven't even had a chance to tell her yet. Thanks Dean.
"Hmmm?"
"Ahahah are you denying it or?" Ciara squeals.
"With who????"
I shake my head in embarrassment.
"You know about Bren then?" He asks Ciara acknowledging her question.I feel my head snap up. "What?"
Ciara squeals. "So it was Cian. And yes Dean of course I know. It's fairly obvious.
"What is?"
"He obviously likes you." Ciara smirks.
Dean nods.
"No he doesn't he barely even speaks to me."
Dean shakes his head. "He's shy Lau, don't hurt him."
He has to be wrong.
"Ah yeah well it's not as if there's not more than one triangle going on."
Dean shrugs."Why don't you like tea?" He blurts out and I can't help but laugh. Is he metaphorically questioning her feelings towards him or does he really like tea that much?
"It's so bland!" Ciara shrugs.
"So you like spontaneous?" And now Ciara laughs too.
"Yes I prefer 'spontaneous' alternatives to tea. No Dean I just hate tea."
He grins realising his ridiculous this sounds.Dean's phone beeps.
"Well Brendan what's up? Nah I'm in Ciara's. Yeah I know he kissed her." Ciara's eyes widen. Dean points towards me and silently mouths. "Upset about Cian."
Are they actually serious?
"Hear what? He what? No he was sly enough to keep that from me clearly." Dean's grip on the phone tightens.
He hangs up and stares at Ciara for a while.
"Brendan's annoyed that Cian swooped in so quickly while he was trying to take it slowly." He doesn't take his eyes off Ciara.
"He doesn't..." Ciara cuts me off. "He does Lau."
Dean nods. "Laurine you're lucky both those lads are very laid back. They won't fight over you... I hope. So whatever you do don't drive a wedge between them."
I nod."Ryan can't come tonight." He sighs.
"Why?"
Dean shrugs. "He's sick. They reckon it's mono."
Ciara glances up at him. "Really?"
Dean nods. "Yeah but it's okay none of us could've caught it... Well unless he kissed any of us." He stares pointedly at Ciara. She nods and bites her lip.
"Mmmm Dean does Ryan really have mono?" She clearly understands whatever she was confused about.
"So he did kiss you!" Dean blurts.
Ciara nods and I can't help but squeal.
"And?"
Ciara shrugs. "And what?"
Dean nods seeming to accept this as an answer.
"No he doesn't have mono and he's sure as hell not gonna miss tonight since you'll be there. Laurine, Brendan's nervous about it so go easy on him."
