Laurine's P.O.V

Ciara groans as she checks her timetable and realises we're not together. She rolls her eyes. "Great start."
I nod. "Where are you?"
She prods a name on the page.
"Irish with Ms. Greene"
I sigh. "Irish with Mr. Smith."
A smiley girl walks towards us and I see panic in Ciara's eyes. She's terrified too.
"Hey I'm Aimee! Is one of you Ciara?"
Ciara smiles at her.
"Yeah that's me." The girl pulls her into a hug and does the same to me.
"You're in my class now." She explained pulling Ciara off in the opposite direction to where I had been going.
Ciara glances back and shrugs, following the girl.
I sigh and make my way to the classroom. Mr Smith glances at me as I walk in.
"Laurine?" I nod. Everyone is already here. I feel my cheeks go red.
"I won't make you do the introductions just yet. There's an empty seat down the back."
Everyone gawks at me as I make my way to the back, doing me best to avoid eye contact.
I flop into the empty seat.
"Conas atá tú?" A lad grins at me.
"What?" Oh my. He's one of those six from earlier.
He laughs. "We're in Irish! Just thought I'd get you in the spirit."
I giggle. "Oh what fun!" I smile, sarcastically.
"Would you let the girl settle in five minutes before you try seduce her." The voice comes from behind us. I turn around.
"Josh." The lad smiles holding out his hand for me to shake. "And the dope you're beside is Cian." Cian laughs.
"I wasn't seducing her. I was being welcoming."
Josh wiggles his eyebrows suggestively and I feel myself blush more.
"He'll be very welcoming." He grins.
Cian shakes his head laughing. "Oh fuck off you."

"Turn around Mr Morrin unless you would like to share the joke." Mr Smith's voice makes me jump.
"Well.." Cian begins.
"Dah aha ah ah ah." Mr Smith grins shushing him. "Abair é as Gaeilge!"
Cian shakes his head. "No thanks."
Mr Smith laughs. "What did I just say??? In Irish Cian!"
Cian shakes his head and turns around, hands up in defence.
"Rightio." Cian murmurs. I smile at him shyly.
"Your hair is pretty." He smiles before starting to write. Oh my. Oh he did not just compliment me. Oh wow.
"So is yours." Omg I did not just say that. A fit of laughter erupts behind us. Cian grins at me. "Why thank you."
I turn to see if it's Josh laughing. He's laughing so hard his eyes are watering.
"Smooth." He grins at me, trying to stop laughing.
"Mr Gray!" The teachers voice is directed at Josh.
Josh is still laughing and just shrugs.
"Your hair is pretty." Josh grins at him laughing.
Mr Smith raises his eyebrows. "Okay say it in Irish?" He laughs.
