MASTERPIECE: 'LuxSoka: A Love Story' Moment

Hey guys!

I completed this drawing (which I hereby award the title of MASTERPIECE because I'm JUST THAT HAPPY WITH IT) about a half-hour ago, but I was really just colouring it in and finishing up the shading. Before it was pretty much an un-shaded thing that looked like pretty much everything else in my sketchbook.

Now, I'm going to tell you all a little story. This is what I told my brain about an hour and a half ago: "Okay, let's write awesome chapters and post them! Everyone's been so considerate to wait this long, and we have LIKE NEXT TO NO HOMEWORK BECAUSE WE FINISHED ALMOST ALL OF IT AT SCHOOL and FOUR DAYS OFF to do as we please with. That's a really good writing combination, and we should take advantage of it!"

My brain nodded in agreement, and then this is what it told the rest of my body: "Hey! Let's go on DeviantArt and look at stuff we can use for other fanfics and dumb stuff like that! Now let's be inspired by DeviantArt to draw for forty-five minutes straight in poor lighting so that our eyes hurt and not notice because we're so into it!"

So that, friends, is how this sketch came to be finished.

I'm actually REALLY proud of the way it turned out though. Ahsoka is very obviously pregnant, and happy about it too, sharing a kiss with her sweetheart... *coughcough* THERE'S A RING ON HER FINGER SO FIANCÉ OR HUSBAND *cough* It's the first one I've posted of them kissing, but it's not the first I've drawn and it MOST DEFINITELY won't be the last XD

It's loosely based on something that will happen in the universe of one of my fanfics, LuxSoka: A Love Story. Uh........ I mean, MIGHT happen, because I haven't written that yet. But I hope it will. And I'm going to stop ranting right now because I already spoiled something. Shmeh.

The shading actually turned out remarkably good (for me, that is, because I know people can do WAY better) and the shadowing is pretty nice too. The only thing I'd like to change, but I won't because I'll mess up like a third of the drawing if I try, is the angle of Ahsoka's upper face and the tilt on her eye. It looked okay before I made some modifications as I was colouring it, but now it looks a little off. 

But whatever, I'll just content myself with it now and not think about it. Okay, that was a really long note describing one sketch... Sorry if I bored anyone to death or anything XD

I'm going to write now. YOU HEAR THAT, BRAIN?!?!?! WRITING, NOT DRAWING!!!!!

PS: I've discovered this thing called 'changing the resolution' (crazy I know) on my scanner at home, so the pictures will probably be bigger and easier to see from now on. I know, I have a really bad habit of making my drawings less than the size of an iPhone XD
