--Moving Day--
The house was all packed up and the Uhaul truck was ready to go any minute. I was excited and sad at the same time. This is where I lived my whole life.
I learned how to crawl, walk, talk, ride a bike, etc. I'm going to miss this hou-
"Sarah!" My mom yelled from outside, cutting off my thoughts.
"Yea mom?"
"Get ready to go to the airport."
"Ok." I yelled back outside.
I walked through the house one more time and headed back outside. I got in our Cadillac Escalade and into my car seat, buckling up. Im not dying today.
It was just my mom and I. My dad was driving the Uhaul. The guy that we hired had to quit last minute. My dad was really mad.
It took about an hour to get to the airport. Dad called our private jet driver to make sure he was there and ready for us. We went through baggage and security.
We had to go outside to get to our jet so we went through that tube thing and there were stairs going to the ground. We all walked to the jet stairs and started to walk up.
We all sat down in our corners. It wasn't the first time I've been on this jet. We've gone on family vacations to other countries and I've only been to 4 different countries.
"How long is it going to take to get to our new home?" I asked anxiously.
This was really happening. I pinched myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming.
"It shouldn't take long. We'll be there before you know it." My dad answered me.
"Ok." I answered walking to the closet and grabbing the box with my dolls in it. I was told I could bring one box onto the plane so, duhh, I just HAD to bring my dolls.
I first took out the little boxes on top that held the clothes, shoes and accessories. I took the dolls out next and then the house.
It seems like it was a huge box but it wasn't. My mom organizes like a pro.
I soon got bored so I decided to take a nap. I played for like an hour and a half. I walked back over to the huge reclining chair and pressed the button for it to recline. My blanket that I always leave on the plane was there so I pulled that up and closed my eyes.
--Three Hours Later--
"Sweetie? Wake up."
I opened my eyes, rubbing them.
"We're almost there."
"How much longer?" I asked yawning.
"About a half an hour or less."
I got up and went to the bathroom. I couldn't see myself in the mirror so there was no point in going into the bathroom.
The pilot came on the intercom and told us the we will be landing in three minutes so we had to buckle up.
I sat down and watched as we landed at the Los Angeles airport. I gathered my little carry on and my dad grabbed my doll box while my mom pushed me along and off the jet.
We entered the airport and headed for the baggage claim.
"Mom, I'm hungry." I told my mom pouting.
"Ok. David I'm taking Sarah to the food court."
"Ok. I'll call you when the truck is ready."
"Alright. Lets go Sarah."
We didn't have that many boxes. I don't think we brought our furniture. I really liked that couch. How are we getting a new house and not have anything to sit on or sleep in? Omg, we're poor! We can't afford new furniture! Omg-
"Earth to Sarah." She said cutting off my thoughts.
"Oh sorry. What did you say?"
"What do you want to eat?" She said laughing.
My mom was so beautiful. I wanted to be just like her.
"CHINESE FOOD!"
"Ok. Calm down. What do you want?"
"General tso's."
She lead me to the area and told the person what I wanted.
It was done in no time. We sat down at a two person table. She opened the container and mixed everything for me.
I took a bite and then I asked her a question. "Are we poor?" I said with a mouth full of pork fried rice.
"What makes you think that?" She asked furrowing her eyebrows.
"We didn't bring any of our furniture."
"Oh, no sweetie we're not poor. Daddy had the house already furnished."
My eyes lit up. "With new furniture?"
"Yea, it's all new." She said as her phone rang.
"Hello? Yea. Ok. We'll be right there. I love you too. Bye" She said hanging up the phone. "The car is ready babe. You can bring your food."
"Did we get a new car too?"
"No just a rental until the old car comes to the new house."
"Ok good because I love that car." If we didn't have that car I would be devastated. That car is like a little piece of the old house.
We walked through the doors to exit and I saw dad standing by a car. I'm assuming that was our rental car.
"Hey guys. You ready to see the new house Sarah?"
"Yup." I said getting in the car. There was a new carseat. It was purple. I loved it. I buckled up and waited for my parents to get in the car.
"How long is it going to take to get the new house?"
"About an hour."
I decided to take a nap. I closed
my eyes and I was soon fast asleep."Sarah, we're here."
I groaned. I absolutely hate being woken up.
I had a great dream. I was friends with my dolls. Barbie had a party and I got to eat a whole bunch of sugar. Lots of other barbies came. And the bratz came. It was terrible. They were so rude to Barbie. I wanted to punch them.
"Ok. What time is it?"
"4:38."
It finally happened. We officially moved. My emotions were all over the place.
Hope you liked this chapter.
