"And then Ozzy ran naked past the pink elephants."

Pink elephants finally catches my attention and from the amused look on Sharon's face she's been talking to me with no luck for a while. I've been lost in my head for a while I guess all I can keep thinking is what Katy's doing now. I left her in bed and I so wish I was still there with her.

"Sorry Mrs O."

"I have three children I'm used to being ignored." She waves her hand in the air to emphasise her point. "Though I'd like to know what could more interesting than me."

I smile and she twigs on. "Ah that beautiful girlfriend of yours."

"Yeah she flew in last night."

I love talking to Sharon she really is an amazing person. I love my mum to bits but if I ever had to choose another one it would be Sharon. She took me under her wing the first time we ever met on my first day on the X factor. I think the only reason I agreed to do this season was because Sharon was coming back.

"She flew in last night and you have to be here!"

"Yeah and then she flies back tomorrow night."

"Ouch!"

"Yeah that's pretty much how it goes at the moment."

"That must be hard."

"Yeah of course it is we just want to see each other for more than thirty-six hours but it's who we are right now and we make the best of what we have."

"I'm not going to lie to you, you know me darling that's just not my style. I thought you'd gone mad when you phoned me. Not that you were leaving Lewis he never suited you if you ask me. I thought it was madness to jump onto a another relationship especially one with someone you wouldn't get to spend so much time with you and Katy's schedules are crazy I guess."

"Yeah they are but we're happy together yeah we'd see each other more if we could and yeah I'd have not been seeing Lewis still when we got together in an ideal world but you and I both know that we live in the real world. She makes me happy so happy and distracted I can't stop thinking about her."

"Well happy is all I care about right now you only get so many spins round the Moon why not enjoy them."

It's just before midnight as Jane steers the car up to the gates of the house and punches in the code. I'm tired actually shattered would be a lot closer to how I'm feeling right now. It's been a long day and we've seen a lot of acts, some of them good some of them not so. All I want to do is crawl in to my bed hopefully next to Katy and hold her tight while we sleep. The twinkling from the front lawn catches my attention and lifts my spirits instantly. It would seem my girlfriend has other ideas about our evening.

"Wow someone's been a busy." Jane whistles through her teeth as she sees what I see. "I'll put the car away and see you tomorrow my friend."

"Thank you." I smile at my oldest and dearest friend.

"Just get out of here and enjoy your girlfriend while she's here. Oh and try not to fall asleep on her."

"Oh don't worry I'm suddenly not the least bit sleepy." I assure her getting out of the car. The cool night air washes over me as I step out of the car and I take a deep breath letting the cold chase away the last of my fatigue.

If the front lawn covered in fairy lights wasn't enough to make me smile then the sight that greets me as I push open the front door certainly does that. The lights are off and Katy is sat on the bottom step of the staircase bathed in the gentle glow of candle light. She's wearing nothing but a oversized shirt and clutching a bottle of champagne.

"Hey baby." Her smile is radiant as she rakes her eyes over my body.

"Hey you." I smile back walking towards her. "You look amazing."

She stands to meet me halfway wrapping her arms around my neck. My throat goes dry she really is wearing nothing else but that shirt. "You look fucking amazing." I amend my original statement. 

She doesn't answer she just kisses me probing her tong into my mouth. I hear a loud clunk and feel something hit the back of my foot as I feel Katy's fingers tangle in the back of my hair. She's abandoned the bottle of champagne in favour of touching me and I'm right there with her on that one I don't want anything between us and that includes that pesky shirt she's wearing.

I run my hands down her sides electing a moan from her as my soft fingers meet her sensitive skin. As I run them back up I run them under her top skimming her sides. We pull apart long enough for me to totally remove the shirt she's wearing. I make sure to touch every millimetre of skin uncovered as the shirt pools at her feet on the floor. I rack my eyes up her body taking in every part of her she is amazing and all mine. As our eyes meet my throat goes dry. The look in her eyes is nearly my undoing I want her here and now. She has sensed that and has other ideas she takes me by the hand and leads me over the entrance hall to the den. The fire has been started and there is candles everywhere, another bottle of champagne is chilling in the ice bucket there is chocolate melted in the fountain and rose petals spread on the mat.

"Wow." I've stopped moving and she has to tug on my hands a little.

"You like."

She's totally naked in front of me and has gone shy because I might not like the den god I love this woman.

All the ways I saw my night going when I got into the car this wasn't one of them. The fire is blazing and Katy is laying in front of it totally naked bathed in firelight smeared in chocolate. Sweet velvet chocolate slides over my tongue as it follows the path of the chocolate down her willing body. The sweet taste has nothing to do with the groan that escapes my lips, that has everything to do with Katy more to the point Katy's Skin. 

We get so caught up in not spending time together that we sometimes forget that we are together this is us. I'm the one who gets to come home to her and she's the one who gets to throw romantic surprises for me. I'm the person that Katy has chosen to let eat chocolate off of her for god sake that should never be something taken for granted.

"I lost you."

I look up to find her watching me eyes hooded with desire for me fire light dancing off the dark depths.

"I was just thinking how lucky I am no one else in the world gets to come home and do this. For all the time were not together we have moments like this to remember. I'm done thinking now though." I husk biting her skin where thigh meets groin. "I'm going to show you how much I love you."

If it's possible right now her eyes have gone even darker which just spurs me on.
