I had wondered for a moment when I had been talking to Katy why she hadn't mentioned the fact that I had landed without calling her but as we get closer to her house I notice three separate cars all with long lenses poking out of the windows waiting for me to arrive. I'm guessing that they were tipped off by their friends at the airport and I'm also guessing that that have made Katy aware of my safe landing. I'm thankful for small things right now so I'm glad that they aren't blocking the entrance so we can buzz ourselves through the gates to Katy's house and move up the drive.

As we walk into Katy's house I can hear her voice and it takes me a moment to work out who she's talking to. I can hear Shannon but there is another voice and I realise it must be her sister. I know she told me her sister would be there and I'm not normally the least bit shy about meeting new people but this is different after all this is Katy's sister and after meeting her parents and having them hate me after they found out the truth I'm a little keen that this goes well for Katy as much as me.

Jane gives me a sideways glance as ever we are on the same page I just nod its ok I'm ok. We follow the sound of the voices and find everyone in the living room Katy is sitting on one of her massive couches feet tucked up under herself her sister sat next to her for a moment I just look taking every inch of her as she sits there relaxed and open. I've missed her so much and my god she's a beautiful sight for saw eyes. It's Shannon who is sitting on the other couch that faces the door more that see's us.

"It's my two favourite Brit'," she smiles at us, "Well after Prince Harry," She adds with a wink.

"Oh of course HRH is always top of everyone's list but Shan from you this wounds," I fake hurt holding my hand to my heart.

"Well you're taken what's a girl to do," she shrugs with a smile and I smile back I love Shannon and her easy going nature.

"Hey, baby," I smile at Katy and she's looking at me like I have grown another head as I stay where I am and make no attempt to get any closer to her. I don't want to push my luck with her sister there I don't know what is and isn't acceptable. She shakes her head, in that way that Jane has joked more than once is her Alex is being stupid shake, getting up from the couch and coming closer to me it would seem she wants a proper hello and she doesn't care who's in the room as she pulls me into her arms. I go willingly pulling her tight in my embrace running my hands over her back.

"I've missed you," I tell her hiding my head in the crook of her neck kissing the soft skin there for a moment before pulling away.

"That's better," she smiles before kissing me. Her lips have been missed but we haven't forgotten how to do this and as she pulls away I'm breathless and wanting more.

"I think I'm going to vomit," I hear her sister groan but if Katy hears she doesn't pay any attention just kisses me again.

"It's ok you'll get used to it," Shannon assures her.

"If not you can always consider gouging your eyes out like I have many times," Jane adds.

Katy's not paying any attention to them though she only has eyes for me and right now she can tell that although I said I was more than happy to meet her sister I'm feeling unsure. She cups my cheeks running her thumb over my cheeks and waits till I make eye contact.

"Talk to me."

"I'm ok I promise," I tell her before kissing her nose.

"You sure?" She doesn't let go of my face she's scrutinising me closely.

"Yeah," I pause for a moment flicking my eyes from Katy to her sister who's scrutinising us closely. " I didn't realise how important it is for me that your sister likes me till I got here." I admit dropping my voice to no more than a whisper. " Your parents hate me so your sister being on our side is important."

"She hasn't met you yet and she thinks your amazing please don't worry."

We've forgotten we've got company and Jane throwing a pillow at us reminds us that there is a room full of people around us.

"Jane you're an idiot!" I scold her catching the pillow with ease and flinging back at her. Katy shakes her head at us and slips her hand in my pulling out of my embrace tugging on my hand with a tilt of her head as a silent question. I nod and let her lead me over to the sofa as she sits next to her sister and pulls me down next to her.

"Ange I want you to meet Alex my girlfriend Alex my sister Angela."

I reach my hand out to shake hers and she surprises me by pulling me in to a tight hug. It's not what I was expecting in the slightest so it takes me a moment to respond but if she notices she doesn't say anything just pulled away after a moment and smiles at her sister.

"Wow Ange you've managed to render her speechless you should be proud," Katy jokes as I sit in a stunned silence.

"I'm assuming this isn't normal then." She gestures to me still sitting in silence.

"No I think you've broken her." Jane smiles she's enjoying this.

"I'm not my mom and dad," Angela informs me turning her attention back to me. "I love my sister and all I ask of anyone she is with us to love and protect her. I really don't care who or what you are as long as you do that."

"That there will never be any doubt about as long as Katy chooses me my love and protection are the least she can expect."
