When people dream, they dream of happy things that make their lives better in a world that isn't really there. You don't usually dream of war's and things that could ruin your life or the way you think. I never dreamt that a war would come to us. I knew it would eventually with everything that had happened, but I never thought it would happen so quick. I thought we would at least have time to prepare think it through...but no. Scar just had to be a big douche and go ahead and start the war.

"Alec!" I yelled running up the hotel stairs.

When I got to our hallway Alec had just opened the door to our room and I was running toward him. He opened his arms and ran into them. It felt so good to be near him again. I know it was only a couple of days that I had been away, but it felt like forever. I guess that was what it felt like for mates.

"Lia. Thank god your okay," He said pulling me back.

"I don't have much time to talk. They're coming. The war is starting now. We need to gather everyone and get ready," I told him taking his hand and running back down the stairs to the back of the hotel.

"Dimitri!" I yelled. Him and his army flew down from the trees.

"Lia. Thank goodness your alright," He said walking toward me.

"Dimitri, they found us. The war is starting now. We have to act. They are going to wipe out every single one of us," I said panicking.

"They can't completely wipe out werewolves," Alec said walking up to me. Everyone else had made their way over to us by now.

"Yes, they can. Scar has something that can make us stop shifting forever. It can make us human again. The only reason they have it, is to destroy us," I said raising my voice to tell everyone.

I could hear the Hunter's footsteps as they ran toward us. We needed to act and fast.

"Okay, everyone! There is a larger clearing away from the people about three miles from here. We need to get there so that nothing happens to the other people," Brian yelled walking farther into the trees.

Riley started to follow us into the trees, but I put a hand on her shoulder to stop her.

"And just where do you think you're going?" I asked her.

She turned around, "I know what your going to say but I can help. I know how to fight."

"I know you can, but you're to important to me. You're not going to be strong enough against guys with guns just by yourself. I want you to stay in the hotel room, please. Or just until we can make an escape if we need to," I explained.

Derek had noticed me talking to her and came over.

"Riley stop arguing with Lia. You're not going and that's final. We need to go and you need to go back to the hotel," Derek said with anger in his voice.

Riley looked scared and then she hugged Derek.

"I don't want to lose you Derek. I know that you're mine...I can feel it. If anything happens to you I wouldn't be able to handle it," She said pulling back and looking up at him.

This should be the time when I look away, but the inner romancer in me wanted to see it play out. Derek grabbed her face and kissed her. Like Alec does me only it was kind of weird watching them do it. Derek pulled back then kissed her forehead.

"I promise you that I will be back. I wont leave you," He said pecking her one more time then turning around.

"Get to the hotel now!" He yelled looking back at her.

I nodded and watched her run to it before I followed everyone into the trees. If we were gonna win this thing we had to do it right. I really hope that the guys came up with a great plan.
