Waking up and realizing that you have to start at a new school with people you barely know...it wasnt the best way to start my morning. The first thing was Jace coming in and hitting me with a giant pillow to wake me up.

"Thanks. Cuz I always enjoy being hit in the face with a pillow," I said rolling over and sitting up. Jace was standing beside my bed, with a huge grin on his face.

"Well good. Now get up. It's your first day of school," He said walking out and shutting my door behind him.

I crawled out of the bed and walked into the bathroom to see what the damage of sleep had done to me. It wasn't to bad. My hair was still straight and there weren't any bags under my eyes. I took this as a sign that my day was going to be good. I walked back into the room and walked over to the closet that Ms. Oliver had stocked up for me. I chose to go simple with a pair of dark skinny jeans, brown knee high boots, and an orange tank top with a brown jacket. I put on eyeliner and mascara before leaving my room and walking downstairs to the kitchen.

Liz was cooking breakfast when I walked in. She heard me walk in and said, "I hope you like eggs. It's Jace's favorite."

"What time did he get home last night?" I asked smiling and sitting down at the bar.

"A time that he should be grounded for. Not to mention that I told him the Alpha had to give you a ride home because he was out being irresponsible," Liz said as Jace walked in.

"You know, I can hear you," He said grabbing two plates and sitting down beside me.

"And you know you left your sister by herself where she didn't know anybody," Liza said sliding some eggs on our plates and handing us forks.

"Okay, yeah that's kind of bad. Look, Addie I'm sorry I left you there. And mom, she wasn't by herself. She made a couple friends and she was with Alec!" Jace said over half way done with his eggs.

"I do have to agree with you on that. I made friends with Rylee and Derek. But I still hate you for leaving me," I said smiling at him while getting up to put my empty plate in the sink.

Jace knew I was joking. I could tell in the way he smirked at me when I walked out of the kitchen.

"Oh Addie, James and I bought you a new phone. It's on the table in the hallway," Liz said turning to make more food as Bella ran into the kitchen.

I turned and walked in the hallway to see a new smartphone laying on the table. I loved it and I loved Liz and James. They didn't have to get me this. It was generous of them to buy this for me. I would be sure to thank them when I got home from school. Because at that moment, Jace walked out of the kitchen and grabbed his keys. Time to go.

"Ready?" He asked me.

I nodded my head and we walked outside to his truck. It looked the same as it always did, the black nice looking truck. The only difference was the small mud streaks from the other night at the bonfire. The drive to school was silent except for the radio playing quietly. When we pulled into the school's parking lot, it was like everyone knew to stare at Jace's truck. I took a deep breath and opened the truck door and jumped down. I could mentally hear everyone suck in a breath. Then someone was yelling my name.

"Addie!" Rylee yelled, jogging over to me, Derek right behind her. They both smiled at me and then Rylee hugged me. I was shocked, mostly because it didn't seem like Rylee liked me that much. But I hugged her back anyway.

"So I talked to the front office lady, and she got your schedule to match mine exactly. Now we'll have every class together and you wont feel lonely," Rylee said handing me a piece of paper excitedly.
