I was crying my the time I exited that room. I was upset that I was going to miss so many things. I didn't dare go back through the other door. I would be really upset for sure. I was walking down the hallway and I imagined a bench to sit on and one appeared. I don't know how long I had been sitting there before my mom came back down.

"Lia, why don't you come with me," She said holding out her hand.

I looked up and grasped my mom's hand and instead of going up we went through of the doors on the left. I looked around at all the white fog and then it all disappeared and a small but beautiful log house appeared. It was surrounded by trees and there were a lot of pretty flowers everywhere.

"Is this where you live?" I asked as she led me inside.

"Yes," She replied.

We were both silent as my mom started cutting up some fruit. I had no idea what it was but just the smell was amazing. Once she finished she put it in a small bowl and then sat it on the table and gave me fork.

  "Try it," She said.

I took some and ate it. It was the most amazing thing ever.

   "This is so good!"

My mom laughed a little, "I though you'd like it. I grew it myself."

I smiled and so did my mom, but then it disappeared. I felt my eyebrows crease with a look of worry.

  "What's wrong?" I asked her.

"I would love nothing more than for you to stay here with me. But unfortunately...you cant. I spoke to the Elders today. You are more special than you realize, Lia. You can't risk everything just to be here. The Elders came up with a solution...to let you back on earth," My mom said her eyes glowing with happiness again.

   "As myself?" I asked.

My mom's face fell slightly again, "No honey. You'll have to start over. Live a new life, with new parents. As you know werewolves live forever, so all your pack mates will still be there. Alec, Rylee, everybody. They told me that you'll be born into your old territory, you'll go to a different school, but they also informed me that everyone moved after the Hunter attack. So they'll be going there too."

"Wait, it's only been like a day here....how long....," I asked.

"It's been two years there. Rylee shifted, her and Derek are mates. Alec has only been with two girls...but he broke it off with them. They weren't you and he knows that. Beck and the rest of your friends have found their mates. Once you go back, you'll have to grow up not remembering anything. Not your life before or anything. You wont remember me, or your father, or Alec or Rylee. They all miss you so much. They still celebrate your birthday. And when the day that you died comes around, they all go to your grave. Alec is always the last one to leave," My mom paused to let me take it all in.

I was silent. I wanted her to finish telling me. I wouldn't remember any of them...

"As you grow up there you'll run into them from time to time. You'll still grow up in a werewolf family. That way you'll automatically be in the pack again. I do have to tell you something the Elders wouldn't want me telling you. But, you and Alec are going to be paired again. The Elders spoke to the fates about it. They approve of what you're going to do. So when you and Alec meet for the first time, after you shift...you'll remember everything. And so will he," My mom finished talking and I had finished the bowl of fruit.

It was quite a while before I spoke. I didn't want to start as a baby. I wanted to be the same age I was before so that I wouldn't miss any more. "Do I have to start as a baby? Can't I like be put in an orphanage and then be adopted?"
